I've used A-Plan in St Albans for over 40 years for all my general insurance needs (home, car, motorcycle etc). They are always extremely helpful, approachable and knowledgeable and will do their upmost to secure the best deal for their clients. I also like the fact that you can visit their offices & talk face-to-face if need be (Covid permitting these days of course!). The company also has sections to deal with travel & life insurance, both of which I have used, the former many times. In the unfortunate event of having to make a claim A-Plan's staff are always extremely helpful in navigating you through the process to its conclusion. Indeed the travel insurance section were fantastic when I had some difficulty relating to a claim a few years ago, ensuring it was settled to my entire satisfaction within a couple of days. Not only that but they have maintained the same excellent standards when their staff have been forced to work from home due to Covid. They do the company credit. In conclusion, therefore, I would highly recommend A-Plan.

Excellent service as usual, everything is explained in layman's terms.. I usually book my insurance's on line but after being recommended thought I would give A plan a go..very competitive rates, also staff are very friendly and helpful it's so nice to be able to speak to a human being if you have any queries.. My partner & I use A-Plan for all our insurance needs - home insurance, landlords insurance and car insurance on 2 vehicles. We have always found them to be efficient and friendly and it is really convenient to have everything in the same place. Just one call and all your questions are answered. They are very competitive and shop around to get the best quotes when insurance is due for renewal. They also let you know when renewal is due so no danger of forgetting ( handy at our age! ). Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a good local broker to take care of all their insurance requirements.

Have my modified car insurance with A-Plan Thatcham for some years now.
Prices are always competitive and there is no "game" each year of having to pretend to leave to get the best price. The renewal quote is usually about expected.
I can always get through to a UK based customer service advisor when needed (to add modifications) and that is worth the money alone!

I didnât appreciate the phone call from Aplan which was made initially as a result of my old provider handing over to Aplan.
I am always suspicious of âcoldâ phone calls, how d o you know it genuine? Eventually I was convinced partly because no details were asked regarding bank details.
My last comment is that I received the final letter but this asked me to complete ,in 7 days , information, I phoned the office and this was not required after all! And I wasted time!
