Eventually renewed but this took six phone calls, involving four different people, so there was little or no continuity. Being automatically switched to different offices if the phone was busy proved to be the major hinderance. Might renew next time but if it is anything like this difficult, Iām out.

I have a self converted VW T4 camper van(they also insure part way conversions)and had already heard good things about A-plan and was recommended them through various online camper and VW groups.
I found them very approachable,understanding and knowledgeable of vehicles that don't fit into the normal every day boxes.
Living Northern Ireland they even gave me a annual green card which gives total flexibility if I feel like a short notice cross border camping trip.
Top that off with a fantastic price for everything including all the extras I told them about(diesel heater,side windows, sink rear spoiler,alloy wheels the lot)which gives me great piece of mind.
I'd highly recommend them.

A-Plan was recommended to the family decades ago and my Mum and I have been using them ever since. They make it easy, without fuss, are down to earth, pragmatic, professional, friendly and the premiums are always at the best market price which matches our needs. Also, they have an office locally which is open on Saturday mornings. No hard sell. Furthermore, always happy to give advice, always willing to take the time. Love their service and their attitude. Try every once and a while to see if can get better prices elsewhere and have found the only way to beat the price is to go somewhere shady where the price you're told is not the price you'll end up paying .....

After being with RBS Insurance for our Home Insurance for over 25 years, we noted a sudden hike in our annual premium - despite never having a claim on our insurance policy ever. We queried this directly with RBS and was told that this sometimes happens- they then dropped Ā£70 straight away!
This didn't sit right with us so it was time to have a look around, and having secured our car insurance through A-Plan Insurance we decided to give them a call.
The A-Plan representative was only too happy to help and spent a good while on the phone call to make sure that we were happy and had all of the right cover for our Home and Contents.
We agreed the cover, and actually bettered much of the cover we already had - we also made a significant saving in our annual premium which was way beyond the Ā£70 offered by RBS.
We know who we will be speaking with at renewal time next year!

Excellent service from Sam at A-Plan. Very quick and efficient which I appreciated as I was on site at the time of the call and needed to be quick. The quote was less than last year which was a surprise as that rarely happens in the insurance world. Would certainly recommend A-Plan to others.

Having given me a cost for my next years insurance, I discussed it with the agent and he came back with a considerably improved premium which I accepted. As an established customer of A-Plan it would have been nice to have received the improved quote initially but then I suppose in a competitive society negotiation is the name of the game and A-Plan were prepared to negotiate.
