Very helpful staff at Birmingham office. Nice to be able to speak to someone and able to ask questions instead of just talking to someone in call centre that sounds as if they are reading from a card and can't really answer questions.
Phoned a number of the big companies for a quote and spend more time holding on phone listening to message ' your call is important to us you will be connected to next available agent' if my call is that important to them, why do they keep me holding on the phone for well 30 minutes. Howdens answer the phone quickly and are very helpful with reasonable quote.

I contacted Howden's regarding insurance for my motorbikes. Over the last few weeks I have spoken with Will and Haz but mainly Gary who is handling my new account from their office in Northampton. They have all been polite, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Gary has been invaluable in answering my questions and finding a suitable policy for me.
To be totally transparent the policy I have taken out is more expensive than my renewal quote through my usual broker (Bennett's), but after my discussions with Gary etc I felt happier in the knowledge that I can call them directly in the event of any queries or an accident and get 'an old fashioned customer service' ie. I can speak to them directly for help and not be told to speak directly to my insurance company or to a third party company such as the infamous '4th Dimension'.
If you are looking for motorbike insurance I recommend you give them a call.
