Friendly, but not over-friendly people on the end of the telephone, Northampton and Staines. Addressed me by my surname which was good. Knowledgeable about the insurance I needed and asking fewer questions than, and coming up with a more favourable quote than the previous insurer.

I spent my 43 year career in the insurance business and most of my business emanated from professional insurance brokers. Now retired, I would much rather continue to have professionals handle my personal insurance requirements, much more convenient than using comparison websites and brokers are able to access deals not available on the comparison sites. A-Plan have always been courteous and professional and I have now used them continuously for at least five years.

I was disappointed on this occasion because the letter of confirmation I received, the quote was higher than that agreed on the phone. Fortunately I checked and after some discussion was told a mistake had been made.
As I paid upfront I was told it would take several weeks to reimburse me. Apparently someone had forgotten to deduct the discount .
i have since received the overpayment but found the procedure sloppy.
