I actually spoke to a person! A friendly and helpful person who took away all the infuriating aspects of trying to get car insurance online and came up with a quote which I could understand and happily accept.
I'm well into my 70s and reasonably tech savvy but after 30 mins of repeatedly filling in stuff online only to be told "computer says no" I was really annoyed. Thank you Howden Insurance.

I have insured with Howden Alton branch for a number of years. Decided to do a full review this year and dealt with Ben Larman both on the phone and by email. He couldn't have been more helpful, professional and responsive. Managed to secure me a healthy saving and should be easy to renew next year. Ben was exceptional in every area. Only one observation is they never followed up the quote they gave us although they said they would. With a busy life like most people it was lucky that we remembered. Small moan really.

I recently took out insurance for my dog grooming business with Howden. Dilpa from the Tooting branch went above and beyond to ensure all my businesses needs were met, even taking time out to do a site visit to make sure everything I needed was covered. She explained my policy in great detail, answered any questions I had and made lots of recommendations of things I hadn’t even thought of, all whilst working around my schedule. She also gave me advice on how to deal with my previous insurers and cancelling the policy. I would highly recommend!
