I was mildly in a state of panic when I first made contact with A Plan Insurance since I had only recently received notice that Zurich with whom I had been dealing for car insurance for many years was withdrawing from direct involvement with clients in that business. Zurich had recommended that I contact A Plan when informiing me of their change of operation. I asked to speak with Mr Gauld. He was calm, businesslike and above all reassuring. My main worry was how easily I would find an insurer who would deal with a client of my age, 87.
Our conversation took its time, without hassle; it settled my mood and we exchanged a great deal of information. I felt I was in good hands. and that continued until my insurance was agreed and paid for. Subsequent conversations with A Plan were with whoever answered the phone; the important thing was that that person quickly found references to my business and dealt with my questions helpfully. I felt I was dealing with an efficient organisation.

I received a phone call from Catherine Smith today from APlan in tooting to remind me that my building insurance was due soon.
