I renewed my policy with A plan because the prices were good, but most important I was able to have contact with with a real person. I could discuss the policy in detail and the price was as good as any on line.

I am usually very happy with A-Plan's service. Overall they have excellent customer service and do reply quickly with any concerns. Normally the customer service team would call and go through everything to see if I'm happy with my requirements. This year was a bit different in that they didn't go through everything and left it to me to check. I was considering changing the contents part of my policy to make it cheaper with another online company. I felt the reply to my email made me a bit less welcome. In addition, I did ask to try and see if the buildings insurance could be reduced in any way. I was told that was the best price without looking at other options that would have reduced the premium. Eventually I found out the voluntary excess can make quite a difference and decided to increase it. This kind of detail should really have been provided to me knowing it would have made a difference on the premium.
Even after this rant, I would definitely suggest A-Plan insurance as good place to start when planning on taking out any kind of insurance. They are pretty thorough and easy to chat to and overall do you give you a good personal service. I would say their premiums can be a bit expensive. But, at least you have someone on hand rapidly to speak to about any concerns as well as visiting their nice offices face to face

A-Plan chose a well suited insurance policy for me that meets all my requirements. It's also good value. I switched to A-Plan when my previous insurer messed up big time and then couldn't provide adequate insurance anymore, and I am very happy with the switch and have now renewed my policy. The phone agents are always friendly and helpful. There's a small admin fee that I'm happy to pay so I don't have to shop around.
