Have used A Plan for a significant number of years across car, buildings and contents insurance and have always been completely satisfied, particularly with the branch teams. However, late last year involved in an accident out of hours with a EU driver on holiday who admitted liability at the scene. Directed through a spiral of third party accident management company’s ever since and currently undertaking legal proceedings to recover costs. Disappointed for the first time that A Plan has taken almost no involvement in supporting or assisting in such a long process requiring myself to liaise with a several other broker partners at my own time and expense in order to manage a stressful process. As I recently noted at my renewal they hadn’t updated me or even offered a courtesy call in over 10 months even though the current claim remains legally pending. Felt tied to renew in the circumstances but after over 15 years of great service I may feel differently next time.

I prefer to discuss car insurance face to face rather than arrange it online but was surprised to find when my certificate of insurance arrived in the post that there appears to be no details about the Green Flag recovery service i.e. how make contact if need be, or information on the legal insurance related to the policy.
