After 35 years of Company car use I am now providing my own car, this required obtaining quotes for insurance. Now having not accrued any personal No Claims Discount the online quotes were horrific. The process of putting my details into multiple insurers and comparison websites was almost as painful. So I phoned Howden in Basingstoke and spoke with Barry - he took my pain away and provided a top class service and a decent offering for insurance, which I accepted.

I discussed my home cover with Catherine Smith who warned me about the rising rates before commencing the details. She quickly decided my existing policy was the best to continue with. So I just renewed but at a 40% increase over last year. It's somewhat worrying where things will go and I will certainly need to ensure I'm on the best rate available.
