Really helpful and friendly service.
They got in touch with me by phone, reminding me of renewal and then were extremely helpful in processing everything and finding me the best deal. Would definitely recommend and use again

Taking out insurance through Howdens was simple and the person I dealt with spoke perfect English, which in 2026 has now become a standout feature for companies. Sadly you ring a UK telephone number to discover you are talking to someone in another part of the world where they think they speak good English, sadly not.

It was all done online. The renewal premium was acceptable, the cover was adequate, so I just had to wait for the auto renewal. The emails from Howdens were friendly and informative.

We were looking to renew for a further year - the agent we worked with to collate figures for car insurance was really helpful and supportive
We would recommend but advise you don’t take the first figure they offer - they are a safe and trustable company.

We left it to them to sort out the best cover for our needs and they do the rest. You don't have to worry about sorting it out yourself.

We have been with this company and its predecessors for twenty-five years. Had to make a couple of small claims over that time. All dealt with generously and speedily.
