This is the first time I have used Howdens.
I found them very easy to discuss my issues and their questions and answers showed clearly the had listened and understood my requirements, and with one of my queries they were honest enough to admit they would have to take further advice to ensure I was given the correct information. I also requested hard copies of the terms and conditions and these were posted to me . I can only say that on the brief time I have done business with them I would recommend them .

I had a problem with our Insurance company (Allianz) not providing correct information and consequently below adequate Home Emergency cover.
Charlie at Howdens completed my complaint to Allianz with speed & efficiency and managed to get compensation & recompense for the lack of service.
This alone would definitely make us recommend Howdens who took a lot of the stress away from us by making numerous phone calls and filling out online paperwork in our ‘hour of need’

I'd done the usual shopping around and having used Howden Insurance previously thought I'd give them another try. You speak to an actual person who walks through all the options and then agrees the price. In my case I did not find it cheaper with the same cover and given they aren't part of a comparison site it was worth the call. I also found that having not selected a particular option that was unexpectedly needed a few weeks later, when I called back they were able to add for a small fee which seemed very reasonable. Great service and price.

Although I actually ended up paying £5 more for this years home insurance with Howden compared to my previous insurer's new quote - I actually am quite happy to pay it - Charlie Jones was really thorough and gave me confidence re exactly what I was buying and what was covered or not. I also use Howdens for my vehicle and find them to be very effective brokers.
