Always a friendly approach when you enter the branch,plenty of notice as to when a policy is due to expire, nice to have peace of mind that the branch is only a short walk away instead of being hundreds of miles away or abroad, have been with Aplan/ Howden insurance now for many years with both car and home insurance and have been very satisfied.

Sam found me house and contents cover with home emergency that was about £400 cheaper than the quotation from my previous insurer. The only thing slight negative was that a boiler service was not included and I had to arrange it elsewhere.

Due to moving house my car insurance had to be changed mid term costing an extra 200 pounds after quite hard negotiation Howdens did bring it in cheaper but had to go up to the manager to achieve this not something l really wanted to be doing during moving house

Prices were much the same as anyone else. I realise that this broker is only able to deliver what underwriters dictate but in my view we are all being ripped off irrespective of you go to for insurance.
