The Tower Tours are definitely worth doing if you have a spare hour or so! Fascinating to hear about the history of the building and see behind the scenes. Our guides David and Alan were very knowledgeable and friendly. A lot of very small spaces and uneven spiral steps, so not for the faint hearted but the views are amazing!

We came to see the Tina Turner night concert. Our tickets weren’t the best, but the music was great and ……… yes it was a bit of fun, but we really had a great night, singing along and room for a bit of a dance.
The Cathedral is wonderful and had a magical look at night.
I’m so glad they are using our wonderful buildings for many different things,
Great night.

This was the second of these events that we've been to following Queen by candlelight at Southwell Minster. It was good, the singer was good, ands it tina turner so your onto a winner. Sound quality could have been better but good enough. The main issue is yet again the fact that as historic and beautiful as they are, cathedrals were not designed as music venues. You have a long relatively thin atrium with the performers at one end. No raised stage, no staggered seating. We had slightly better seats this time but even then when everyone starts standing up all you can see is the back of people's heads. This was exacerbated by people holding their phones above their heads to film. If your further back than about 15 to 18 rows you'll be able to see very little. If they just raised the stage up so people could see it would be so much better. I personally will not be attending another one of these candlight events because at a meer 5ft tall I simply can't see anything. Sidenote: My husband had a £6.50 pint (yes I did get it right £6.50) and refused to have another saying it was nasty.

First time visit to Lichfield Cathedral, and what a wonderful experience. Firstly, there is no charge, they just ask for a donation. The cathedral is wonderful, a truly magnificent building and well worth the visit. It has a deep history, and some beautiful stained glass windows. The charming tea rooms were lovely, with a good array of snacks and drinks.

The cathedral Highlights Tour was the highlight of our day. The ancient building is packed with history, and our guide Graham made it all incredibly interesting…I could have listened and learnt all day. Thank you, Graham. Next time, the TowersTour.

Beautiful atmospheric cathedral , worth visiting but
Like previous posts if you’re going to see an evening show, take a cushion, very uncomfortable seating. Visability poor due to inconsiderate people holding their phones up to film , paid £70 odd pound to watch the show through the person in fronts phone camera ( whu is it allowed and why can’t people just enjoy the show?)
Wouldn’t go again to a show and not usually a negative Nelly ..
Did catch a bit of the evening song earlier on and that was very heartwarming.
