Stunning building and architecture. Entry is free, just make a donation towards upkeep.
Spent a good 10 minutes looking at outside of cathedral including the many stone carvings set in the walls. Inside is beautiful and stained glass windows amazing. They were rehearsing for an evening concert the day we visited so also treated to fabulous choir and soloists. Sounded amazing inside cathedral.

My first view of the cathedral was from The Close, and I just thought WOW. The main double fronted facade that faces you, is so impressive, and I think the majority of people would have the same reaction. Until visiting this weekend, I never knew Lichfield had a cathedral, and no one has ever said about it before. It has to be one of the top hidden gems to go and see. The interior is just has good , with outstanding stainglassed windows, the main Nave & Choir areas which are huge.

A huge landmark spot of Lichfield. Not far from the train station, definitely worth a visit. Do check the events and opening times before going. The place could be very busy during some peak periods.
