Impressive church in small city. Lots to see, quiet on a Thursday morning. Friendly welcome from the young person at the door, reasonable to ask for donation not admission fee. No toilets or cafe.

I can't give 5 stars because there was no service.
Beautiful architecture, especially the exterior stonework sculptures.
Very impressive interior with beautiful tiles and leaded lights.
It's worth another visit, perhaps when a service takes place.

Lichfield isn't the first cathedral on many people's 'to visit' list which makes for a nice relaxing and enjoyable time there. The building is fascinating with it's history of repairs and damage aswell as it's general history and the St Chad connection. Do take the steps up to his chapel and get some unusual views from a higher level.

The guides were very informative and there is a nice cafe very close by and plenty of nearby car parking too.

I visited Lichfield Cathedral and was truly impressed. The cathedral's Gothic architecture, with its three spires and intricate carvings, is stunning. Inside, the colorful stained glass windows cast beautiful light patterns, enhancing the serene atmosphere.

The Lady Chapel and Chapter House are particularly captivating, offering historical insights and peaceful reflection spaces. The knowledgeable guides added depth to the visit with fascinating stories and facts. The well-maintained grounds provided a lovely setting for a relaxing walk.

Overall, Lichfield Cathedral is a must-see, blending history, architecture, and tranquility perfectly. Highly recommended!

WOW! Now I'm not religious at all, but this place is a must visit if you're nearby. It's amazing to think they created all this so long ago. The attention to detail is unreal.

It is a wonderful cathedral in the smallest city in the UK. You get out of it what you need, and everyone will find something here.
