In the modern age to combine community use and historic monument in this way- stunning. They placed a huge rotating dome in the centre isle with learning clubs for kids.
The ww2 area on the history of German prisoners in cannock chase was excellent and touching

In their last week of their Gaia presentation and the whole world is just outside of your reach. Lots of information and stuff for children to do. The cathedral itself is in great condition, and the volunteers are knowledgeable and helpful.
Beautiful architecture too.

Such an interesting tour of Lichfield Cathedral. What an amazing building and our guide Malcolm was full of enthusiasm and memorable accounts of its turbulent history. We are planning a second visit already, next July for the music festival! Love Lichfield and it's imposing Cathedral.

Went for the Gaia event. £5 per ticket. Beautiful cathedral. First time I've been to Lichfield. Would like to go again during the day as I would love to see the stained glass windows in the light.

I have been to Lichfield cathedral many times but there is always something that I haven't noticed before or a new way of looking at the building. This time it was looking at the cathedral through my grandson's eyes. It was his first visit and it was a great pleasure to explore it with him.

The Gaia exhibition was amazing as were the displays made by the children of Lichfield during the summer. The guides were very friendly and helpful with their knowledge. The cathedral was full of history dating back to the 13th century. Would certainly recommend a visit. The Gaia exhibition is on until early November.
The exhibition is free but a donation is recommended
