Wow what a stunning building. An architects dream. This is my first my visit and neither the adults or children were disappointed. I thought we would have to pay a set fee to see all parts of the cathedral which is disheartening (take note York Minster!) but no. You are issued a ticket on arrival which merely registers visitor numbers. It wasn’t overly busy and we visited at a weekend. The children were given some brochures which had a challenge to find certain items or displays of interest within the cathedral. There were also interactive touch screens dotted around that the children could read. Really good idea to keep them interested. I would say we were there around an hour overall. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a sunny day and the light through the stained glass was magical.

We visit regularly, just to wonder around and soak up the ambience. There is such an extensive history to this place, that you can always leanr something new. We have visited at Xmas eve in the past and just to soak up Xmas and many other times.

I have visited many cathedrals over the years, but Lichfield has been the most interesting. It has age, 3 spires & no entry charge. As it is not within a large city is is more serene & makes for a reflective visit. There is written information so you could take your time learning about its history. It is in a lovely setting, surrounded by old buildings.

This is possibly the most impressive cathedral I have visited, the three spires and carvings on the outside are amazing to see. There are some interesting things to see inside as well. Would recommend the free guided tour so you can really appreciate what you are looking at, guide was very knowledgeable and had loads of interesting stories on the history of the cathedral.

A great way to spend an hour or two, when in Lichfield. Entrance is free, and there were a good many volunteers around who offered more information about the building or providing guided tours.

Although I have visited several times before, I learnt so much historical detail from one of the volunteer guides that it felt like it was my first visit. Fascinating.

I went round the cathedral twice, once with a tour guide and once on my own, lovely place and full of history. I like the fact that the admission was free but you could donate as much as you liked. I joined the service in there too and choir sang beautifully and enjoyed it very much.

Beautiful cathedral. Beautiful architecture. There was some work being carried out inside so some areas were work was being carried out wasn't fully accessible. What I did see was worth the visit. Wasn't the biggest cathedral I have visited so didn't take long to look around the cathedral. The entrance was free, however, if you want to donate any money there is a box to put money if you wish to donate. Staff were friendly.

Took our friend here as part of our organised tour plan. Only her second visit to uk. First visit to Midlands. She was knocked out by this cathedral. We even heard some choral oractice which made it more special

Even larger and more majestic than we expected. Plenty to see and read, too much to mention. There were two small groups having guided tours whilst we were there. Entry is free, donation boxes present. Beautiful sculptures, figures, altars, stained glass windows, wrought ironwork screens, etc. and of course the unusual three spires.

A stunning sample of medieval architecture that is as welcoming as it is large. Admission is free and donations are encouraged at the front desk when they issue passes. The guides do a great job of rhapsodizing over the rich history surrounding the building and its various historical figures.<br>Car parking is close and a ticket will cost you £2 for two hours. The nearest public loos are attached to the neighbouring cafe.

We always enjoy a visit to Lichfield and revisited the cathedral once more. It is magnificent and there is always something new to see each time. Today the choir were practicing so this added another dimension to our visit. This is a real gem of a place and should reward all visitors who come here.

We visited the cathedral as we were in town, while worth taking the time to visit, as you walk through the doors it was a lovely surprise, beautiful windows and architecture.

Not to be missed. One of the most beautiful cathedral I’ve ever seen. We arrived in time for evening song and the choir of the local high school was an added delight. The halls of the building are simply but very elegantly decorated in a manner that does not take away from the serenity and humility that the Cathedral evokes.
