Tuesday 1 September – Music for Reflection – 11.30am
The Cathedral's summer Music for Reflection series concludes with Fran Ambrose and Martyn Rawles. A lovely opportunity to enjoy live music in the peaceful surroundings of the Cathedral.
Saturday 5 September – An Evening of Kate Bush – 7.30pm
Kate Bush fans can enjoy an atmospheric evening celebrating her remarkable music. Performed by a 10-piece band with vocalists and the Mike Nowland String Quartet, the show journeys through her catalogue, with favourites including Running Up That Hill, Cloudbusting and Wuthering Heights alongside lesser-known gems.
Thursday 10 September – The Music of Phil Collins & Genesis: The Candlelight Concert – 7.30pm
The Cathedral will be illuminated by hundreds of candles for a special evening celebrating the music of Phil Collins and Genesis. The spectacular surroundings of Lichfield Cathedral should make this a memorable night for fans of their music.
Saturday 12 September – We Are Staffordshire: Stitched for Staffordshire – Exhibition Opens
Opening on 12 September and continuing until 4 October, this exhibition forms part of the Cathedral's autumn programme. Visitors can combine the exhibition with time spent exploring the history, architecture and beautiful surroundings of the Cathedral.
Tuesday 15 September – Organ Recital: David Pipe – 7.30pm
Lichfield Cathedral's organ takes centre stage for an evening recital from David Pipe of Huddersfield Town Hall. The Cathedral's impressive acoustics provide a fitting setting to experience this remarkable instrument.
Visitors don't have to attend a special event to enjoy one of Lichfield's most recognisable landmarks. The Cathedral is regularly open for sightseeing, giving visitors the chance to discover its extraordinary architecture, heritage and treasures.
There is also a regular programme of worship and choral music, including Choral Eucharist and Choral Evensong, providing another opportunity to experience the Cathedral filled with music.
