The idea started with Jim Black, a resident of Chagrin Falls, a close-knit village in Cleveland's eastern suburbs that is part artist colony and part bedroom community. Black posted the email to a group of his friends. "Let's show our support for one of our local businesses," he wrote. "I challenge everyone to spend AT LEAST $20 at the hardware on the 21st."
Shoppers will be able to enjoy free parking at selected times in Lancaster and Morecambe in the run up to Christmas.

It’s not only fireworks that will be lighting up Lancaster this November. On November 2 – the night before Lancaster’s Fireworks Spectacular – the city hosts a new free family event – Light Up Lancaster.
There's going to be some spooky goings on at the Festival Market, Morecambe during Halloween weekend and everyone is invited to go along....if they dare!
Thebestof Lancaster are delighted to be working together with Independent Retail Champion Clare Rayner in organising a ‘Christmas Shopping Crawl’ from 24th November through to 24th December and are looking for 30 independent local retailers in the Lancaster and Morecambe area to join forces and increase visibility of shopping in the area.
