Since 2000 the castle’s resident professional theatre company, demi-paradise productions, have performed this evergreen (and ever changing) celebration of Christmas in words and music
The idea started with Jim Black, a resident of Chagrin Falls, a close-knit village in Cleveland's eastern suburbs that is part artist colony and part bedroom community. Black posted the email to a group of his friends. "Let's show our support for one of our local businesses," he wrote. "I challenge everyone to spend AT LEAST $20 at the hardware on the 21st."
I know people are already talking about Christmas and New Year and organising Christmas Shopping but there is a heck of a lot going on in Lancaster and Morecambe during November that you don’t want to miss out on.
Staff, students and visitors of Lancaster & Morecambe College have raised over £780 for the Breast Cancer Awareness campaign by hosting their annual ‘Sparkle Day’.
Halloween, Bonfire Night, Christmas and New Year are all celebrations that we like to go off with a BANG! And what better way to provide that bang than fireworks or a firework display. But please, before setting off those Roman Candles, Sky Rockets, Bangers and Bombs think about any animals you may have or any that may be in houses near to you.
It’s not only fireworks that will be lighting up Lancaster this November.
On November 2 – the night before Lancaster’s Fireworks Spectacular – the city hosts a new free family event – Light Up Lancaster.
There's going to be some spooky goings on at the Festival Market, Morecambe during Halloween weekend and everyone is invited to go along....if they dare!
Thebestof Lancaster are delighted to be working together with Independent Retail Champion Clare Rayner in organising a ‘Christmas Shopping Crawl’ from 24th November through to 24th December and are looking for 30 independent local retailers in the Lancaster and Morecambe area to join forces and increase visibility of shopping in the area.
