It’s not only fireworks that will be lighting up Lancaster this November. On November 2 – the night before Lancaster’s Fireworks Spectacular – the city hosts a new free family event – Light Up Lancaster.

Lancaster is one of only seven towns chosen to take part in a nationwide project linking poetry and sport to mark the 2012 London Olympics. And The Dukes will be putting Winning Words into action.
The Dukes is to present outdoor walkabout theatre again in the summer of 2013. Overwhelming support for what became the biggest event of its kind in the UK means the show will go on in Lancaster’s Williamson Park next year.

No Holds Bard at The Dukes
The Dukes is playing a lead role in Lancaster’s first Season of Shakespeare this spring. Drama, film, talks, workshops and an exhibition will take place at The Dukes during February and March.
