There's going to be some spooky goings on at the Festival Market, Morecambe during Halloween weekend and everyone is invited to go along....if they dare!

With Halloween tricks and treats galore from Saturday 27 to Sunday 28 October, those who aren't afraid to join in the fun can take part in a ghost hunt around the stalls and have a peek at the market's very own haunted house.

There will also be the opportunity to guess the weight of the pumpkin and enter a free colouring competition. Entry forms are now available from the market or by visiting www.lancaster.gov.uk/festivalmarket

On Sunday, October 28 between 2pm and 4pm, why not try your hand at pumpkin carving and showcase your creation by taking part in the pumpkin parade at 4pm.

To get you in the mood for this Halloween weekend of spooky fun, the market will also play host to 'Zombieville' on Saturday, October 20 when the ‘creatures of the night’ will be dancing ‘Thriller’ style around the stalls.

Tracey Bruce, Festival Market Manager, said: "This annual Halloween event at the Festival Market has always been popular with not only our younger shoppers but market traders too. This year, with the added bonus of the 'Zombieville' event taking place the week before, I am sure even more people will be encouraged to enter into the spirit of Halloween and join us a week later for more free spooky treats."
