Great place to eat, you can walk to Geddington from here passing an old church, a dovecote and seeing one of the three surviving crosses to Queen Eleanor. Edit: Third visit again today, still a great place to walk to and amazing cheesecake.

Went for lunch with my mum for her birthday, I was very impressed. The staff are very friendly and helpful and always ready to assist. We ordered some excellent items from the menu, a jacket potato and some excellent toasted sandwiches. I probably the best cup of tea I’ve had and the coffees are also great. There is a good range of meals and an excellent selection of desserts available. Around the restaurant there are items for sale and if the weather is good there is a nice children’s playground all in all it’s a good day out.

Loved the Pantry. We were intending on coffee & cake, but went for soup and sandwiches instead. I had broccoli & horseradish! Wow. It was superb. It came with a generous helping of bread. My husband had the bŕie & bacon sandwich. This came with a generous salad, not just a few leaves and a tomato. Coffee was lovely, too.

I got married earlier this month and had our reception at Dovecote Buttery. It was the perfect location! Everything from speaking with Hannah to plan the day, through to the actual day was so easy and positive. The menu for the dinner was personalised to us, and when I kept coming back with new dietary issues, they were able to accommodate these with ease. The day itself was exactly what we wanted. The food was amazing, guests still keep telling us how much they enjoyed the dinner. The venue is very child friendly, and with 14 toddlers/children this was so welcome. The gardens and surrounding area make for beautiful photos. Would definitely recommend Dovecote to anyone looking for a wedding reception venue, or even just a meal or coffee and cake!

Ample parking and very friendly, helpful staff. Combine that with a generous menu & delicious food & you’re on to a bit of a winner.
