Nice place bit pricey for what or is. Didn't have everything on the menu, breakfast came but had to wait for the sausage! When came a bit underdone.

Lovely setting with attentive and friendly staff throughout. The breakfast was superb, made with high-quality ingredients and cooked perfectly. Everything felt welcoming and well looked after from start to finish. Would definitely come again and highly recommend to others.

I booked breakfast here for me and my partner as I wanted to pick up some local honey, so thought we’d make the most of it.

What a great little place! The food was fantastic quality, presented beautifully, and very reasonably priced for what you get. The loose leaf teas were a lovely touch too.

We’ll 100% be coming back.

There was also a nice car meet going on when we visited on the Sunday, which was great to see—as a bit of a petrol head myself, that was a bonus!

We went mid week for Afternoon Tea. Our goodies arrived really quickly and the sandwiches and cakes were delightful. However our table was dirty with coffee stains from the previous occupant and at no point were we offered a refill of coffee (the details on the website stated unlimited tea and coffee). Having looked forward to afternoon tea I’m afraid we left somewhat disappointed.

We came in on a Saturday to have an afternoon tea for an 80th birthday. Upon arrival we were taken to a table set up for 4 when we had booked for 9, the waitress looked at us like we were inconveniencing her when we kindly said there wasn't enough seating even though we pre-booked months ago. The afternoon tea itself was really lovely, great selection of cakes and sandwiches however our table got cluttered very quickly as no plates or cups were cleared up during the meal. The few members of staff that served us were consistently not the friendlist, while it was a busy Saturday and we understand they may have been preoccupied we did feel the service was quite poor which put a damper on things a little. Would come back again but perhaps not during peak times

Visited for brunch, but have all previously visited for lunch - Very tasty food (we had the veggie breakfast and the garlic mushrooms on toast) somewhat on the pricey end but lovely as a treat.
Also very handy to have a kids play area, which our little boy thoroughly enjoyed! Friendly staff, countryside location, will definitely be back :)

Absolutely beautiful place to visit, the cake was amazing and a great size too! The staff are really friendly and as a family of three, we found the prices OK as well.

The building is situated off a quiet back road and the outside area hosts a playing area and good parking.

Inside the walls and French dressers are strewn with beautiful works of art and house hold items that can all be purchased.

They offer specials and a whole host of menu options to chose from. If ypu haven't been, it is well worth a visit.

Had a private party at The Buttery to celebrate a 100th birthday. We couldn’t fault the food, the service and the overall experience. James, Robert and Maxine went above and beyond to make this a very special and memorable occasion. Thank you so much xx

Had a lovely lunch at the Dovecote Buttery...a really delicious burger meal that was nicely balanced by a tasty salad. Haven't been here for years and the indoor eating area has been extended quite substantially.

I'll definitely be back.
