Kensington and Chelsea College learners Armstrong Nkosi and Kevin Kimbenga are celebrating the success of their film ‘The Eyes of Grenfell’ which was accepted into the Portobello Film & Arts Festival 2018. The Grenfell Tower documentary demonstrates community feeling around the tragic fire that occurred, at its first anniversary.
Students at Kensington and Chelsea College (KCC) celebrated some of the highest GCSE retake grades in London. Pass rates at KCC were 54.7 per cent for GCSE English and 25.7 for GCSE Maths compared to the London average of 37.2 per cent and 25.7 per cent for GCSE English and Maths respectively.
Kensington and Chelsea College has recently been MATRIX accredited for the College’s Learner Services. This extends the College’s accreditation which applied to IAG (information, advice and guidance) from 2015.
Glassmaking students at Kensington and Chelsea College have been successful in the ‘Inspired by V&A’ awards. Three Glassmaking students were shortlisted in this year’s awards ceremony. Janine Greenberg won in the category ‘Glass and Stained Glass.’ Janine’s work Love, Light and Strength was inspired by BirdBath, a stained glass work by Judith Scheschter on display at the Victoria and Albert Museum.
