So many exciting charity events coming up through the summer bringing fun AND fundraising. The next one is on Sunday 28 July with an afternoon of fun at the Sailor Boy in aid of Lister hospital's 'The Magic of Play' appeal.
Last week, Hitchin Boys’ School held a number of charity initiatives in aid of ShelterBox, a Rotary project partner which provides emergency shelter and lifesaving supplies for families around the world who are affected by disasters at the time when they need it the most.
A Gang of five Hitchin locals are running the London 10K on July 14th to raise awareness and generate sponsorship for a nursery school in Gambia, west Africa.
Mark Mardlin, Charity Secretary for Roots Nursery explains why...
Are you one of the 96% who haven't given blood recently? If you're normally healthy and especially if you've given before, now's your chance to start donating (again).
Huge well done to the staff at Sainsburys and local Hitchin people who took part in various fund raising activities for Comic Relief and raised a whopping £1900.
Following the announcement that plans are in hand for an exciting Rhythms of the World in July 2014, volunteers are organising lots of fundraising events to make it the best ever festival!
