I had the best day here in June. Paradise Wildlife Park is a lovely place, good value for money and a great opportunity to see rare big cats like the snow tiger, leopard and white lion. So beautiful. The high walkways are the best way to see the cats in all their glory. The park is well set out and not too big, so you can go back and revisit any animals you may have missed or see the feeds. Hearing the lions roar was a great highlight and the leopard feed at the end of the day topped it off. Can't wait to revisit and kids and adults alike will love it.

We visited the park on a Sunday in the school holidays and it was very busy BUT it did not feel crowded at all. We saw all the animals and feeding times etc and were able to see everything easily. There is a good variety of animals and all looked fit, healthy and well. Some of the enclosures could do with a little updating, penguins for example, but this did not take away from the enjoyment of our day. There were plenty of picnic areas around and we easily found somewhere to sit. Tea and coffee was very reasonably priced, just £3 for a large cup of tea and coffee. I would say the park is more suited to children but we are in our 50s and had a great time. There are absolutely loads of children's play areas to keep them amused, as well as all the animals to see and a petting zoo which was fun too. Staff were all very knowledgeable and answered all questions in detail. I would definitely recommend this park for a visit, especially for those with young children, a great day out.

This place is amazing, i have been before and i was not disappointed second time round. Your experience is the best you will experience.
You get close to the animals w=ith out lots of large fences blocking your view

We had a really nice day here, myself, my Mum & my two children (aged 8 & 10).

We got here early, a little before it opened...I'm glad we did as we saw all the animals in the whole park as they were getting up & out their sleeping areas before the army of pushchairs & toddlers arrived.

I think this a good park for children up to 10 years of age, as things are close together & there's lots of other bits to do along with seeing the animals. We opted for goes on things that there was an extra charge for rather than buying anything in the shop, to be honest I saved money doing it that way!!

We loved seeing all the big cats, although it would be nicer to see them in bigger environments. I appreciate that it costs a lot to run somewhere like this & keep the public entertained, purely because of the cost of these type of animals...but if funds could be spent on enlarging enclosures I think that would be a good thing.

My two enjoyed the indoor play area, they also enjoyed some of the things like the diggers & racing cars...although they are getting to the older point of growing out of these things.
There is plenty here for younger children.

We also enjoyed the National Speedway Museum, what a little treasure. Lots & lots of bikes for any speedway enthusiast, my children, my Mum & me all liked going in here...was nice for something different.

We took a picnic, so I can't comment on food costs...although we did have ice creams, about the same cost as most attractions these days.
I thought the cost of the cake in the indoor play area was very good, especially when you consider how much you would spend in Costa or Starbucks!

I would like to say that more toilets are needed!

The trip was really fun all of the animals there looked happy and you could feed them also the entire team who helped us were really nice and helpful thank you Ellie, Eleanor, Sandra, Amy, Lucy, Katy, Mr Jingles, Thyra, also a massive thank you to Amy for helping us adopt Thrya a thanks to Sandra for having a look for some sloth related items and Lucy was very kind when it came to the gem digging and the wasps weren't really any problem at all you'd expect it at a place fillies with ice cream and I didn't see a single person get stung but still everyone there was amazing

We had the most amazing day ever! I really can’t say enough to express how great it was! Whilst the animals have to be the star if the show, I have to say that the staff were the best I have ever seen. Let me start with Sandra (The Queen of the Gift Shop). This woman was 100% committed to giving us the best experience ever. She moved mountains to look after us and was an absolute delight to chat with. I had a small request for some merchandise and she found an excellent solution and tracked me down in the park to deliver it for me. I don’t know of any higher level of dedication possible. Brava, Sandra! Eleanor was a delight to speak with on the crazy golf, she guarded our bag of cabbage and carrots with the heart of a lion (obviously that is a metaphor, given it is a wildlife park! I’m not an animal! (Whoops again, my bad!)). The marvellous Lucy allowed my 12 year old son to pan for gold and gems and literally find millions of dollars worth of booty. To see the joy on his face was a delight only eclipsed by the “buy it now” price achieved on EBay a few minutes ago. Ellie in the gift shop was a sweetheart to us and totalled our purchases with excellence. She kept smiling and was delightful even though she was being ribbed for not seeing Jurassic World. She said it was because she was short of funds, but we know the real reason Ellie; you are scared. But there was no need for other to spoil it by telling you that the Indominus Rex gets killed in the end (it deserves it!). And the amazing Amy, was truly amazing! She has a degree in Psychology and still found time to speak to the likes of me (was a bit surprised that she couldn’t read my mind though? Well it is summer break for Uni?). And there was the delightful Lucy, a true gem amongst the coloured sand shack. So friendly and lovely to us. She has been accepted to star as a stewardess at Ryan air (But don’t stand for the pay for you own accommodation and for the course itself, I think that they are abusing your trusting nature. You are worth them paying for you!). And Pia was a true font of knowledge on sloths and the sloth experience. She really helped us to understand that whilst my son loves sloths, it really is not an option to kidnap one as it would be a criminal offence.
But then the highlight was our conversations with Katy at window number 5 (but she moved to window number 3?). My 12 year old son, Danny, was committed to adopt a sloth. With the true excellence of Katy, this is what he has done today. Not only has she sorted out the adoption process, but arranged for the sloth to be photographed with him. She took his number so that she could get in touch to make the arrangements and send him an adoption pack. The customer service experience she provided was excellent. We have asked if with the adoption we could bring the sloth to our house for every other weekend and maybe weddings, funerals and bar-mitzvahs. But we are told that the sloth is not Jewish? But more importantly, there are 2 sloths at the park and they are Mr Jingles and Thyra (AKA Mrs Jingles). We saw Mr, but couldn’t see Mrs? Maybe next time. The desire is that a baby sloth is produced and Katy has promised that it will be named by Danny. We are making up the spare bed as we speak/type.
To address the bitter comments of those that come to Paradise Wildlife Park and don’t enjoy themselves:- If people find that wasps find them attractive, they should ask themselves some serious questions as to, why? I have some suggestions, but would like to keep this post polite! If you can shop for food at Aldi and get it a lot cheaper, here is a thought . . . . go there! Some people need to suck a lemon to sweeten their palate.

We booked to stay at the park for one night and from the moment we arrived we were impressed. The staff were friendly and helpful, the toilets all had built in drop down child seats, the park was clean and tidy and there was plenty to see and do for adults and children. We stayed in the zebra apartment and again this was clean and tidy with a TV in the lounge area and in both of the bedrooms. I can't think of a bad thing to say. I would definitely recommend anyone to visit.

Paradise Wildlife park is an amazing place to take the family for a fun filled day out for all age groups...especially kids, the kids facilities are one of the best i have seen and my family totally loved it. Will defo be coming back here with more family and friends.

We spend well over 5 hours there and could have spend an entire day

Various play parks,,both inside and out. Also includes a park for disabled/wheelchair
users. Food choices were good and had outside stage entertainment. The zoo was much improved from a previous visit and was accessable for all with high viewing
platforms. Was clean and animals appeared well cared for.

Paradise Wildlife Park is definitely worth a visit. Has something for everyone. We took my 11 year old niece and her two younger sisters here for a day out and they thoroughly enjoyed it. Not only did they get to see loads of different animals, but there was also several areas for them to play in. At most places like this you pay a fortune for food, but we found the prices really reasonable.

We visited on a sunny Saturday and the park was buzzing but the crowds did not hinder our enjoyment as there is plenty to see and do. Amelie thoroughly enjoyed feeding all the animals that she could and was particularly pleased to see the Reindeer. Although it seemed quite expensive to enter the park we did manage to see it all and spent nearly 5 hours there.

Four of us had a lovely day wandering round the park which including two of us spending some time tickling - although more like hard scratching four sleepy tapirs. Friendly knowledgeable staff and a good value day out.

So I took my nephew back for his annual treat. As always we took the train and then the minibus, since I can't drive it is very helpful and at £3 return for an adult and £1 return per child very reasonable, the driver was friendly and chatty and soon we were at PWP, earlier than the opening time but ready for a busy day with the lovely animals, there is so much to do and see and on this visit we played safari crazy golf in which the 5yr old beat his nanna and me, we went into the jungle theatre for the first time and watched the animal antics show where Albert decided he wanted a ferret! We spent ages wandering around watching the lovely animals, Baikal the white tiger was being fed it was amazing to see how big he is on two legs! We watched the tigers in the sun and the jaguars snooze, Moto the lion treated us to one of his roaring fits much to the amusement of my nephew. We had a light lunch in safari sams diner which is really reasonable and the good nice after which we went on the woodland railway followed by more walking around the park, nanna took Albert in to see the snakes and lizards etc, the one place I just can't bring myself to go in! We saw raccoon dogs sleeping and the otters playing, Albert made a sand sculpture in the crazy sands shed he had great fun filling a dinosaur bottle full of different coloured sands, at the end of the day we visited the gift shop and caught the minibus back to the station, Albert had been so excited for his birthday treat and he wasn't disapointed!
In less than a week mother and I were back at PWP this time for me to feed the red pandas! We arrived, had a cup of coffee then had a quick look round watching the meerkats play, Baikal the white tiger doze, the baby reindeer wandering around its paddock and the baby penguin swim as the others snuggled in pairs in their nest boxes, soon it was time to make my way to the discovery centre, I was greeted and offered drinks and biscuits, then I met Amy the keeper who took me into the enclosure, she was just lovely and knowledgeable, she told me lots I didn't know I fed these beautiful creatures whom were so gentle and amazing to look at close up, if you love pandas then you should visit these little guys they are just gorgeous! After my experience I wandered around the park and did the things I had the week before, the animals are clearly happy healthy and well looked after which is a huge must for me! The friends of paradise wildlife park opened its stall next to the red panda enclosure they had lovely little momentos for sale, in some ways I think this has a better selection of PWP merchandise and buying from them you know the money goes back to the animals! Another amazing visit, if I could I'd go everyday, I can't recommend it highly enough! Staff are friendly, helpful and you can see the keepers adore their animals, it's a wonderful day out for families but also for couples and friends especially those who love animals!!! 100% gets my vote every time! Can't wait to go back again especially since there is something new or different each time. Everyone go and visit Paradise Wildlife Park it's great!

I recieved a voucher as a birthday gift for this zoo to spend a day with two photographers giving me the opportunity to get up close with some of the zoo animals and take amazing quality photos of them as well as finding out loads of information from the keepers. It was a fantastic day out! My sister found the voucher on group on, she said it would have been a little pricey otherwise! Maggie and her husband (who I've forgotten the name of!) gave me and one other a personal tour around the zoo. We had the chance to get into the Lemur section being so close with them that we had to zoom out on our cameras! I won't spoil it if you would like to go but i'd highly recommend it! The zoo is great too if you would just like to wander around. I've never been to one with so many big vats! Being a cat lover, it's a lovely place to go!

The Garden Tour given by Gordon, the Head Gardener, was very informative. Not only did we learn about the food grown for the animals but we were given a realistic approach to gardening. I'm daunted by manicured and perfect gardens. Gordon made gardening seem possible. I went home with renewed vigour.
The tea was very welcome and we had a great view of the tigers. it reminded me of 'The Tiger who came to Tea'.
After tea we were able to spend time looking at the animals and go on the woodland walk. The experience exceeded expectations. Gordon's enthusiasm was undeniable. Thank you!

We booked this through Groupon and I have to say the staff are all friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in was clean and well equipped. The actual venue itself is probably one of the best child friendly places I have ever been to. I will definitely be coming back again. They have catered for every eventuality. Their prices are reasonable (i.e. not extortionate compared to other well known attractions!)

Excellent day out, plenty to do and see, kids loved every second

We came here with two children (4&3) looking to see some animals but we're a bit bored with Colchester and London Zoo. We were so impressed. It's well sign posted and we parked easily just after opening. We also were pleased to receive 50% off our adult tickets with our NHS ID badges. We felt like we had the park to ourselves for a couple of hours. You have a great display of animals including tigers, lions, zebra's and loads more. You can see them from the ground or many enclosures have a bridge that you can view from.
We are here too, which was ok but next time I will bring food with me. The play area is huge and will keep children of all ages entertained for as long as you let them play. The train ride for littluns is a must and only £1.

We liked it mainly because my 16 month old son liked it very much. This park is not like usual wildlife park, this is specially made for kids. Though there are big cats, birds and mammals, surely not upto the mark in terms of varieties of animals used to be showcased in wildlife park.

Shuttle like service is available from Broxbourne rail station, this would be easy for the people who come by train.

Food items are really costly.
Situated in good place. Lot of sceneries in and arround the park.

They make money inside to go by kids train and buy food for animals(for some small animals)

Well maintained, informative, staffs are really friendly.

We went this afternoon with grandchildren, 13, 10 and 5, we arrived at 14.00 which gave us enough time to visit most areas. Parking was easy, the park was extremely clean, the animals didn't look miserable, they were mostly enjoying the sunshine and sleeping. Their enclosures, whilst not massive, were very clean, spotless in fact. The park is very safe for children to go off and have an explore without too much adult intervention. It has a lovely atmosphere, lots of play areas, bouncy castles and slides, a pirate ship, old fire engine, swings, too many to mention. If you want a fab day / afternoon out I would recommend. Big plus, lots of sitting places for worn out oldies to drink tea and watch the kids having fun!! Thumbs up Paradise Park, don't change what you have, it's brill!

My boyfriend and I came and did an experience here. I think this is a great idea and there was so much choice on what to do. They were a little bit on the expensive side, however we purchased ours when there was a special deal. It was a.good experience and I would recommend it. I agree the enclosures are a little small but by no means do the animals look unhappy or neglected. It isn't the biggest park I've been to by was still a lovely day out and we loved the experience.

Great day out certainly will come again, friendly staff, The experience was mad very enjoyable by the keeper Johnny who was excellent at his job, very kind caring and helpful, especially getting mum's wheel chair into the enclosure, thankyou Johnny, the rest of the park was very enjoyable too and would recommend it's worth the visit.

We've visited the park several times before and were planning a visit in the summer holidays. When we saw the Monkey Mile advertised it seemed like a good time to go. We took part in the monkey mile on Sunday August 2nd 2015 and I really hope that they will do this again next year as it was brilliant. Not only was it a great experience but it was also raising money for lemur conservation in the process. The cost was only £9 per person and after the walk was completed (with an unexpected+brilliant talk on the history of the park and many of the animals...Thank you Aaron!) We were then free to enjoy the park for the rest of the day... I would recommend Paradise Wildlife Park and especially this experience to others and hope it is the first of many monkey miles xx

This place is a great day out for a young family, we visited with our 2 yr old and 9 month old both enjoyed it.
It's quick to get around the park which is great for when you have kids and it has a cafe and an indoor soft play area as well as an outdoor play area for kids.

Some animals you could only see by going up some stairs and there was no access for prams so we had to leave the buggy unattended but other than that good facilities for families with young ones.

I have wanted to visit the park for quite some time after a recommendation from a friend and the zoo didn't disappoint. My wife and I are on a bucket list challenge to visit every zoo in the UK, so the pwp was next on our list. My first impression was how relaxed the animals all seemed. You can see how the keepers really care on a personal level for the animals they look after. The enclosures were kept very clean. Viewing the animals at different angles is possible using the overhead walk ways or at ground level. The zoo layout meant you don't have to walk for miles and revisiting the different enclosures was very easy.i would recommend the zoo to anybody.it was a very enjoyable day
