I had high expectations about this park having read the reviews but we were pretty disappointed. Went on a chilly Sunday in November and it was pretty lacklustre and tired. The dinosaur trail was nicely done and the animal enclosures ok but it’s not a patch on London zoo or whipsnade. The restaurant is pretty awful too. A tired old canteen which desperately needs some modernisation and just fried stuff with chips offered for kids - save for a cold lunch bag with sandwich and very cheap reformed ham. We ordered two jacket potatoes and they were small and bland with no butter even and a sad looking salad. Would not recommend eating here!!
Other than that, just ok. Lots of food places and kiosks closed and play areas for kids run down and in need of some serious modernisation. Wouldn’t return though when there are so much better parks nearby.

Amazing to get so close to these beautiful creatures, and to see and hear how they are well cared for. Fascinating to watch. Friendly and informative keeper.

Also loved feeding the alpacas (with the £1 a bag food) & getting a couple of good selfies with them, & watching the little monkeys being all excited at feeding time & watching the leopards (?!) watch the car’s going past.

Enjoyed the animal show, so good to see the park supporting Apopo herorats & using their clever little rats to help raise money.

Thank you, hope to come back soon.

Fantastic experience at this zoo, really enjoyed everything. We had a meet the red pandas experience which was so special. We were accompanied by a highly knowledgeable, kind, caring girl zoo keeper who answered all our questions. The red pandas are amazing, gentle, soulful animals! After that, we explored the rest of the zoo, saw all the beautiful big cats, various monkeys and other animals, plus the sweet sheep and goats who loved being stroked. One sheep was big and fat, very friendly, with a long thick deep coat.... I'm sure it was genuine sheepskin. To conclude, a fantastic day out at one of the UK's nicest small zoo's. Highly recommended!

If your going for the animals, don't bother. I looked in lots of cages/enclosures and there was nothing in them, but if you are going to entertain the kids then it's a good day out as the have a ball park area, dinosaur park and small farmyard section BUT consider the cost. I took an under 2 year old so I didn't have to pay, but if you take children over 2 then your up for some serious expense. Having said that and I suppose the important issue is that the limited animals I did see seemed healthy and well looked after.

We went as a family (2 adults and 2 under 2’s) to the park having been recommended by a number of friends.

Plus points:

-Great dinosaur display, well laid out and a great size display

-All the animals - the park is laid out into zones enabling you to easily see the various animals. The big cat section also has a viewing deck which helps when the cats are hiding.

- Open outback - such a great idea allowing closer interaction with the wallabies and emu’s. the kids loved it

- Being able to feed the animals was a lot of fun - but the bags as the kids loved it.

- Food quality wasn’t bad, much better than most parks of this type.

- A good number of outdoor play areas for children of all ages.

Negatives:

- Not a lot of space in the restaurant, whilst the weather was bad lots of people and buggies came in for food. Poorly laid out with very little space between tables of 4 meaning people got frustrated and staff struggled to clear the tables.

- staff attitudes not the best, whilst the weather wasn’t great nobody smiled or said hi (apart from the Dino gift shop)

- Only one baby change in the restaurant, the que got long for a while.

Summary

A great day out, good interactive areas, not just the dinosaurs and animals but also the play parks.

You could easily spend 4/5 hours there and not do everything, so a great place to spend a day for all ages.

Bring a pack lunch or eat in the outdoor areas.

We have visited Paradise Park on several occasions with our grandchildren and always enjoyed it, especially since the fantastic Dinosaur attraction.
But I am just adding this review to sing the praises of the main restaurant staff for their helpful, friendly manner and politeness.Okay, the place was packed and we had to queue for a while however I hope this gets through to them as on a busy day with young children it REALLY does make a difference.Well done!

This is our third visit and it's still as great a day as ever. Having a cup of tea and a slice of cake overlooking the tiger enclosure is an awesome experience in itself. The animals are well looked after and the enclosures are lovely, with good viewing points. It's definitely worth buying a couple of bags of food and feeding the alpacas/goats/sheep. Food is very expensive and we waited ages - would suggest bringing a packed-lunch. Great to see three jaguar family members on show and living together. Plenty to do for the kids if they lose interest in the animals. Whole park is easily accessible for wheelchairs. You would definitely have a great day here if you enjoy animals.

Great little zoo with plenty of opportunities to see the animals at close quarters and good to see that they are enlarging some of the enclosures, especially the lion pen which does seem quite small. We saw a few of the big cats pacing up and down repeatedly but I'm not sure if this mirrors wild behaviour in any way or if it reflects anticipation or stress.

The new dinosaur section is brilliant, probably the best dinosaur park we have been to and it was nice too see a Dino park ranger walking about to help with questions. In general the staff were absolutely fab, very friendly, approachable and knowledgeable - a real asset to the park.

I think the only let down would be the food which is mostly fried if you want hot food and not particularly cheap. The staff may need some extra training too as my server dropped my drinks bottle on the floor then proceeded to hand it over to me. TBH most places like this don't do food that well.

We would definitely come back here, but maybe in the spring or summer when we can bring our own food and eat outside.

Not as big as I thought. The kids loved the splash pool, play area and the dinosaur park more than the animal park. It was clean but toilets were lacking especially when I went there was 3 toilets outside the dinosaur park and 1 had a block so there was a waiting cue

Visited in peak summer so many animals were sheltering from the sun! Understandable and some animals closed off due to heat stress I think. Must be a hard time all round. Otherwise they have a big play area for children, the water splash area was nice, but absolutely crowded out even in the last 30mins. Some parents don't care leaving rubbish and used nappies around, but generally in good condition. Food areas reasonable, both price and quality. Car park free. The dinosaur trail was worth doing, especially for boys, lots of moving dinosaurs. Overall it kept two young boys and us entertained for the day. May go back if we can get a deal as you can easily fill the whole day. A cooler period and we may see more.

We had a great time at the Meerkat experience. Really knowledgeable keeper and loads of time with the animals. Very impressed with rest of the Zoo. Dinosaur world was fun.

Small and zoo like which would suit very young children or those with mobility issues who struggle with the hills of bigger zoos but I did miss the larger animals. All in all, an okay place.
