The positive points: Great service, really lovely and modern spa, good-sized clean pool (18 meters long), and a lovely ambience. Unfortunately, a few things about the hotel itself need a vast amount of improvement. I stayed here during the hottest days of the year and let me tell you, the experience wasn't pleasant. The hotel had run out of electric fans to provide guests with so I was stuck with sleeping with my balcony door wide open. It was stiflingly hot in my room! When they finally provided me with a fan, it was the size of a dessert plate and blew hot air. Pretty disappointing.

The room itself was a good size, although small things like having an alarm clock in the room and bedside electronic outlets would have been beneficial.

I also ate at the Victor Hugo and considering the amount of money I paid for dinner, it wasn't satisfactory at all. My scallop starter was bland and overcooked. My chorizo and mussel main dish lacked flavour. Breakfast, on the other hand, was delicious and there were plenty of choices.

Although I wouldn't rule out staying here again, I guess it won't be my first choice next time. I'm sure with the ongoing improvements/ renovations going on, I am positive there will be pleasant changes in the near future.

The hotel is a short car journey from the airport and on a bus route. It has plenty of parking. It is modern and smart in appearance and has a nice sun terrace overlooking a lake to its rear. The pool, hot-tub, sauna etc are beautifully refurbished. The rooms are quite large, clean and nicely furnished with a balcony to sit out on if sunny. The breakfasts are excellent and the staff pleasant and helpful.

We stayed here as a family for my husbands birthday for 2 nights. Excellent staff, nothing was too much trouble. We ate in the restaurant on both nights good food and service. Excellent breakfast buffet variety. We enjoyed the swimming pool and the grounds with our little one. The room was comfortable and had views of the pond / garden which was lovely. Thank you St Pierre Park. Mary

Nice hotel and grounds a pity our request to stay in a room facing the pond was not kept. Room was nice though and sitting on the balcony was fun people watching. Breakfast was excellent but dinner was a hit or miss. Staff seemed inexperienced but mostly friendly. What would have made the stay better would be more attention to dealing with small complaints and believing the customer is always right!

All the staff at this hotel did their best to make our stay a very pleasant one. Our room was very comfortable with an extra large bed. It was kept very clean though the promised balcony turned out to be tiny. The breakfast was superb with every possible option on offer. The spa has just reopened and the beautician who attended to me was very competent. The golf course is good for a beginner but was disappointing for my husband who likes more of a challenge.

We stayed here several years ago as a family holiday which was excellent. The children enjoyed it so much they have fond memories of such a beautiful hotel. I was delighted therefore to be able to stay on a business trip for a couple of nights.

In between my visits which are several years apart I had heard the hotel had lacked investment and subsequently been sold. The new owners have subsequently invested in the hotel and returned it to its former glory. I can confirm this is very much the case, and some more.

The grounds are amazing and well cared for with a small stream, there is a lake, tennis courts, golf course, children's play area along with a couple of very nice outside seating areas off the two restaurants/bars

The inside of the hotel has also been refurbished in the public areas along with the bedrooms, some of which gave balconies with table and chairs. The rooms are furnished well as are the bathrooms. Not of modern design but good quality classic furnishings.

Room service was very prompt and of a high standard.

An enjoyable two nights, no complaints.

Hotel is located away from ST Peter Port so transport is required if you are looking to go out.

This hotel is situated on a hill about a 15/20 minute walk into St Peter Port. The hotel staff were pleasant, the room was comfortable and despite the building work going on,was very quiet.
We booked an Executive room which though clean was in need of some refurbishment. There was a stain on the carpet and the side of the wardrobe by the fridge was coming apart. The remote control for the TV was really filthy with grease and other stuff and needed a whole packet of handwipes to get it clean enough to even touch. Breakfast was good though with lots of choice and there was a large car park. We used the hotel as a base to explore the island and it's a nice hotel but it really is not worth 5*

Second stay at this hotel (stayed in May 2015) once again, staff were fantastic as was our room. Ok, there were some people having a party in their room early morning on our floor, which was a bit annoying, but, hey, I was young once so no real problem. Again, like last time, the weather was superb and the facilities excellent. Like our previous stay, I would recommend to anyone.

My wife and I stayed at St Pierre Park for a week in June/July. The hotel has some real strengths - the staff were friendly and helpful, the grounds/gardens are very pleasant and the newly refurbished gym and pool are excellent, there is a new spa too, though we did not use it. Breakfast was plentiful and varied and there are several other eating options for lunch and dinner (one - the pavilion - operated as a separate business) and we were very happy with the food and service in all of them. Our gripes were minor really - our second floor balcony was small - lower floors seemed better in this respect, the noise insulation from external noise wasn't great (though the location meant that it was always quiet at night) and the main restaurant, though offering excellent food and service, was very quiet both times we ate there and rather lacked atmosphere.
Overall though the hotel had a nice "feel" for a large establishment and we would certainly be happy to stay there again if we return to the island.

Bought by my son and daughter for my birthday, we visited for a long weekend. Arrived at 0.900, 4 hours before check - in time. Reception was excellent, booked us in and stored our luggage while we found our way round Guernsey for the day. Concierge service was very helpful and the staff were great fun. The hotel was first class, with first class rooms and excellent facilities. Food was superb. We will definitely be back.

We have just spent a week at this hotel and had a lovely time. The staff were very welcoming and pleasant, the room was comfortable and was of a good standard. We didn't use the spa but understand that it is of an excellent standard. It takes about 20 mins to walk to St Peter Port up a few hills. The only down side for us was the quality of the food , although nothing was bad we felt you could get a much better deal both quality and price wise away from the hotel. Overall a very enjoyable week.

Wonderful relaxing hotel with delightful grounds, attentive, friendly staff and amazing new leisure facilities.

The standard room was a good size, with a comfy bed and also had a balcony containing 2 chairs and a table with still plenty of room to move about on. Plenty of thoughtful amenities in the well lit room, the only thing lacking was a window opening as there was no air con, ( not that I like this, ) so it did become stuffy overnight if you did not leave the patio door open, which some people would feel hesitant to do I feel ( maybe ongoing refurbishments will amend this issue?)

The newly refurbished leisure facilities are superb; the pool is wonderful as you can have a proper lengths swim; the sauna overlooks the gardens and decking level and is lovely and light. One of the two gyms has this view too. There are plenty of loungers too, both inside and outdoors. Excellent roomy showers, and the costume spinner/drier is a great addition too. If I lived closer, I would definitely join the health club, the facilities are superb, and are maintained immaculately.

The extensive choice for breakfast was excellent, as was the evening meal we had one night, which was beautifully cooked and presented.

The hotel is about 10 minutes drive down to St Peter's Port, but has plenty of car parking spaces in a well lit carpark.

I would highly recommend this hotel as a base whilst in Guernsey, for it's tranquil setting, delightful staff and the many amenities it offers.

We didn't know it at the time but we were their first two day spa guests. Loved the big waffle robes, slippers maybe?. Not a problem as we were both wearing flip flops. Relaxation room, no sugar or milk had to request that, really not a problem as we appreciated they had only been open a day or two. Ordered some sandwiches about half 12 as that was what you used to be able to do in the relaxation room, it wasn't until a day later I actually read my Spa package notes that I saw they offered a comprehensive lunch menu ! My fault. Took advantage of a massage which was so nice, lovely setting and smells, everything you want from 30 mins away from your wife stuff, these 30 mins were about ME. Joined my friend on the Sun Deck we relaxed in the hot tub in the gorgeoous Guernsey Sunshine. Our afternoon tea came and it was more than plentiful for two ladies, lots of finger sarnies tons of cake and sweet stuff, friend took it home for her boys. Fantastic facility we'll worth every penny I am going to give it A 5 The first 5 I have ever given a place.

We booked a four night bed and breakfast deal with ferry from Poole. It was excellent, especially having the car with us. The staff could not have been more friendly, especially Shaun the Ops manager and the ladies at reception. Our room was an executive twin, very comfortable, especially the bed (important to get a good night's sleep) and over looked the tennis courts. A very relaxing view. The balcony only seated one chair plus table but could be re-arranged to just have two chairs, so no problem. There were plenty of other balconies to sunbathe from. The addition of a Nespresso coffee machine was most welcome. Breakfast wasexcellent, a very good choice of hot and cold food and local specialities. Best selection of fruit I've seen in quite a while. Wonderful views over the lake made breakfast dining a very pleasant experience. We had intended to eat out of an evening around the island but actually ate in the main dining room twice and the bar once because the food was so good. Had we wanted something special it would have been no problem to try and supply it. The leisure facilities were being trialled following a major refurbishment and although not complete at the time (1st week in June) they were of a very good standard and we enjoyed using the pool and steam room. My friend and I had a super five day break. The island is so beautiful and being only three miles from the mainland is a real bonus. I can't believe I've not gone by ferry before. We shall definitely be back to St Pierre Park. Can't wait.

This was a return visit and it was as good as last time I visited. The hotel is fabulous, everything you need, a brand new Spa which has the wow factor, service & hospitality was again, exceptional, with all the staff so friendly and nothing is too much trouble, even in the early hours off the morning. Food was excellent and they catered really well for me as I am Gluten Free. Rooms spacious and clean.

Special thanks to Dina Lelacheur, the General Manager who made sure that our large group were all very happy, I wonder does she ever sleep as she was always there checking our dinners, making sure out transport arrived and we had everything we wanted. Special mention to Shaun too who was unbelievably efficient and thanks too to all the staff, they gave 150% to our stay. Shame we did not have time to go and play golf but the course looked very good.

Guernsey is beautiful and I do hope that I can re-visit again, I would highly recommend the hotel for couples, business, families and large groups.

Back after a wonderful 3 day stay. Great food, friendly, helpful staff, particularly the Manager, Dinah, who orchestrated the whole weekend for a very demanding clientele. Rooms were well appointed with great beds and lots of pillows. Well done St Pierre Park.

The hotel and grounds are superb and situated just outside of the town with a bus stop right outside. Our room was spacious and on the lower floor so that it opened out onto the lawn with a verandah outside where we could sit and enjoy the view. We had very comfortable beds, tea and coffee in the room and a nice bath and shower. Breakfast offered a massive choice from the buffet as well as a menu from which you could choose extra dishes. The food in the bar was really good with a wide choice and the staff everywhere from the maintenance men to the manager were so polite and friendly - nothing was too much trouble. The new swimming pool was beautiful and the member of staff that showed us around was very obviously proud of all the facilities, and justifiably so. Our last night we ate in Victor Hugo restaurant and I have to say that the food was exquisite, both in taste and presentation. We will definitely go back there again, by which time the health suite/spa will be completed offering even more for guests to enjoy.

Had a lovely 2 night stay at this hotel. The bedroom was large and comfortable with a balcony over the lovely gardens. The balcony had a tables and two chairs. The bathroom, which had a bath with shower over, was perfectly adequate with the usual supply of lotions and soap. The television had about 14 channels including radio (no Sky channels) and none of any significance (if any) for non-English speakers.

We were surprised to get a complementary bottle of method traditional (non french champagne) wine for a milestone birthday.

The breakfast was largely self-service with only juice, tea/coffee and toast brought to the table.

Unfortunately use was not made of the health facilities. Hopefully next time.

We were taken out to lunch here, and it was very pleasant indeed. They have their own Brassiere and you can, subject to weather, eat outside. The menu is quite varied, with a good children's menu to choose from. Equally, the kids do have a play area, so you can keep an eye open, whilst you eat.

We were put in this hotel by our tour operator when we missed our ferry to Sark due to being fog bound at Alderney. I think it has recently been refurbished, we were very happy with the room it was very clean and comfortable with a huge bed. The room was quite warm with no air conditioning so having the balcony was great so we could let some air in. We also ate here in the evening, the meal was very good and staff were very pleasant. We would recommend this hotel and would definately return when we come back to Guernsey.

Several of us stayed here for a long weekend break. The service was exceptional, with attentive staff, clearly very well trained. The rooms are very comfortable, with huge beds (6 ft?), and loads of pillows. Unfortunately, our departure was delayed by one or two days, because no flights came in or out due to bad weather, and the hotel was already fully booked. So we had to transfer to another hotel, which was not quite of the same standard. It only served to emphasise what a very good destination St Pierre Park was.
