Hands down the best Indian restaurant! It's such a calm and warm environment. The staff are very helpful and most importantly the food is incredible, its the perfect amount of spices, very good portion sizes too. Great value for money as well! 100% would recommend to anyone.
Love a chicken jalfrezi from here, can't beat a takeout or sit in for a great family meal.

I may be coming from a slightly biased point of view having gotten used to Indian restaurants in England and visited some amazing ones in Southall. However, I thought I could expect a similar experience to an average Indian restaurant on the UK mainland.
I ordered a takeaway consisting of a mixed grill and chicken shashlik. These are my go-to staples and a good way of comparing one restaurant with another.
The restaurant is lovely, the staff are friendly but the food let it down.
I was not convinced the mixed grill was freshly cooked as the lamb came across as a bit dry. The shashlik which was more succulent. Being a not so popular dish it has to be cooked fresh whereas the mixed grill perhaps does not.
Even though the meat appeared to be marinated I could detect no spice flavour at all. If you closed your eyes you would have no idea that you were eating Indian food.
The Shashlik was mildly better but still lacked any real flavour.
The naan bread was quite small and very uniform leading me to believe they could have been brought in. That said they were quite good. The yoghurt accompanying the poppadums was good but the poppadums tasted a little burned.
Such a shame. A little more spice and it would have got a much higher rating.
I have come here for many years and have always had an amazing meal! The food is cooked to perfection whether it is to eat in or a takeaway! Absoloutely love it and would reccommend it to anyone who loves a bit of spice!
I honestly never knew I much I love papadoms until I had one at the Indian Cottage! I've tried many at other restaurants but nothing can beat Indian Cottage, and their Chicken Tikka Masalas are on a different level! 5 Stars!!
My favourite place to eat hands down. I have to prevent myself from getting one of everything from the menu! My eyes are bigger than my stomach but the food is amazing. Attentive staff.

Haven’t been here for a long time. Had good food and very attentive service. Vast choice of items on the menu and a good Tennerfest menu as well in October.
Good value for money for your standard Indian Restaurant.

Made impromptu visit for a meal here and was pleasantly surprised at the variety of menu choice. Staff were patient and offered some pre-meal free snacks which added to the surprise.
The chosen curry's we had were absolutely first class, very tasty, heavenly aroma and definitely did the job of satisfying our hunger.
Only sold bottled beer which wasn't cheap, do remember that if visiting.
All in all a really good place to eat and didn't cost the earth.
