Hotel is very well situated, staff are amazing, room was lovely and everywhere very clean. The breakfast was very good with plenty of options to suit everyone. I had two concerns, the first being the mattress was very hard and I couldn’t sleep. I asked reception for an extra topper and it was done that day. My other issue was that unfortunately we had a beautiful deluxe room but it was right underneath a family room with children running around and wardrobe doors slamming. I hadn’t realised this and when I checked with reception I was told it was the family room. Avoid room 15 in future!!! I did ask if we could move to room 14 but was told it wasn’t available. We weren’t offered an alternative.

The hotel is located at the top of the Fermain Valley, close to the beach that is one of the best ones on the island.

It is at an easy drive from both the airport and St. Peter port. Both are also well connected with buses (ensure you download the app on your phone, it will tell you which buses and at which time, there are two bus stops close to the hotel). The port can also be reached by walking, there is a more direct way on the main road and a nicer but longer coastal walk - the last one requires hiking shoes as it can be muddy.

The hotel is comfortable and cosy, with carpet, couches and armchairs everywhere.

The room is spacious, bright, clean and warm. During the night, it seemed well soundproof and the curtains ensure it can be made as dark as you need. The bed was extremely comfortable.

The service is very efficient and kind.

A great night there. The only thing i will say is that the air conditioning unit makes a lot of noise..
Rock Garden food was great. Again, the only thing i can say is a bit pricey..👏👏👌

This place is in very quiet area and surrounded by lovely garden and about 10 minutes walk to the nearest Fermain beach.
It had a few choices of adjacent restaurants but the choice is slightly limited unless you go to St Peter’s port town. The hotel staff are all lovely and friendly and accommodated to our needs. The breakfast choice was so great and plentiful, and delicious so we enjoyed it very much. There was a sauna and swimming pool which we could use until 8pm. The room we had had a balcony so it was a bit pricy option compared to not having no balcony but it was worth it although I was not pleased with the fact that when the balcony window was open in the morning, sometimes I could smell someone (possibly staff) was having a cigarette/ smoke outside just right down of our balcony at the end of the building side on the second floor. I do not like the smoke smell so this was the down side of the room. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay there over all.

Lovely, welcoming hotel with pleasant grounds and close to beach and coastal walking route. Formal gardens nicely done, however we tried to walk down through lower part and found blocked paths and ill maintained areas. Staff friendly and helpful, room comfortable and well maintained, though I found it too warm at night and was unable to get a hot bath, inspite of piping hot water in the basin tap. Unfortunately let down by some of food, particularly from pastry chef- a tiramasu should not be stodgy! Rather than a guest lounge, there is a tea room, which is also frequented by the locals. The scones were again a disappointment. Breakfast buffet was OK, but if you don't go for a full English, other cooked dishes left a lot to be desired.

This is a very nice hotel in a good position. The staff are extremely professional and nothing is too much trouble for them. Unfortunately the food in the restaurants is very very expensive and for most people would be far too much to use every day. Could not fault the room which we paid an upgrade for a Gold room with a walk in shower. Everything and above that you could want with a balcony. Just a pity that we had to find other places to eat in the evening as a trip to the Steak House would cost in excess of £80 plus the service charge which is 12.5%. A glass of wine will cost you £11,.00!!!!

1st class hotel, service, location and food all excellent. Staff are very helpful and courteous. Our room was clean, comfortable and wonderful view to wake up too. Some of the highlights: an indoor swimming pool, first class breakfast, and the Rock Garden restaurant for steaks, Outside seating. Nothing was too much trouble. Cannot wait to return. 5*

Not a lot more to say! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Fermain valley and , given it was a treat for a special birthday, the staff beforehand were really helpful in assisting me to get what I wanted , even when there was a last minute change of dates. Impressive service. And good old fashioned service was present throughout. We had a platinum room so very comfortable and well provisioned. Ate dinner in Oceans a couple of times. Good if not fantastic food. The small plates better probably than the main dishes. Wine list great. If you haven't tried Chateau Musar white (the red available and one of my favourites) you should. Not often at all that you see these bottles at a restaurant. The maitre'D Justin from Bulgaria has outstanding interpersonal skills and one of the best I have come across. We didn't go to the mexican place though heard a lot of people complaining about the food there. Breakfasts had an amazing choice of cooked but my one complaint, and an area for remedying, is that the bread at breakfast was never fresh. Dry loaves and even stale baguette every morning - and they could do better than boxed cereals (decent muesli?). .Needs sorting asap- if they sourced bread from the same place as Le Nautique in town that would be a start. But a great place to stay and highly recommended.
PS It is out of town but plenty of busses from the road above the hotel

One of our local go to spots for a hot drink and a slice of cake sat outside on the terrace looking down towards the bay. Always a good selection of cakes on this occasion we chose the brownie, vegan choc cake and the gauche melee. All were fab. Lovely spot.

Cadre idyllique et personnel aux petits soins. Je conseille l'île mais aussi cet hotel. Par contre, pour les funs des plats épicés s'abstenir.

The food was delicious, the breakfasts in particular are amazing! Such a fantastic choice.
Somewhere I’d be eager to return to.

Fermain Valley Hotel Guernsey August 16th 2024
The hotel is situated in a beautiful spot 10mins from St Peters Port (Main Town) and 10mins from the airport.
Service and staff excellent (special mention to Dan, Daniel, Paulo, Josh and the lovely ladies on reception who cannot be more helpful.
The setting is stunning with views of Fermain Bay, which is delightful, there is no better place for breakfast !.
The reception team really are terrific, nothing too much trouble.
We had a different room this time (37)....a nice room.

Exceptional service from all staff, extremely friendly and accommodating. no ask was too big. Great recommendations for darks skies too.

The hotel has 3 restaurants, and whilst we only got to try 2, the food was wonderful, breakfast had so many options.

Rooms were clean, tidy and enough storage for everything (and we don't travel light).
Just the entrance to the parking is a little tight - but you do get used to it.

Arrived back home 3 days ago and already booked our next stay (and returning to Fermain in just under 3 weeks time).

Cannot wait to return! And this time, we will get round to eating in the Rock Garden. :)
