X-on Launches Free Calls to put Framlingham Businesses on the Map

The ‘Free Calls For Framlingham Businesses’ scheme provides local businesses with free phone calls to the UK and many international, fixed and mobile numbers.

X-on, who became the 100th member of the Framlingham Business Association in May 2013, has made the scheme open to businesses with up to 10 users in order to raise the profile of hosted telephony services and help local businesses struggling with costs in a difficult climate.

X-on Marketing Director, Paul Heeren, admits that the move may be seen as disruptive by competitors offering more traditional telecoms services, but is consistent with the rapidly changing cost models in the industry as new technologies become available.

“For a number of years we have supported Framlingham by creating jobs, recruiting local residents, using the Technology Centre as our headquarters, and most recently, joining the FBA.”

“The Free Calls For Framlingham Businesses promotion represents our first significant step in providing a service specifically designed for the needs of businesses in the area, and we are thrilled at the prospect of helping fellow Framlingham firms thrive in these tough economic times.”

The promotion also includes a free virtual PBX which allows you to treat a landline, VoIP phone or mobile as an extension. Not only that, the promotion offers Framlingham businesses free Voicemail and Voicemail to Email, free Call Recording and free Call Queueing, so unlimited line capacity for inbound calls. There is also a non-geographic 0843 number thrown in for each user to have a national presence.

This promotion is open to any business on the 01728 exchange. It is designed to help local businesses promote themselves and reduce their costs, whilst raising the profile of hosted telephony services.

Based at Framlingham Technology Centre, Suffolk firm X-on is one of the UK's leading cloud telecoms and mobile telephony companies, with clients including HSBC, Buckingham Palace, Kelloggs, BT, the NHS and the East of England Ambulance.
