Here’s what going on in and around Farnham over the next couple of weeks, there really is something for everyone.

ChoLily’s Half Term Colouring Competition  will be running until Sunday 29 October. Pop in to ChoLily’s Coffee Shop in the Lion and Lamb Yard - the kids won’t mind because they can take part in the ChoLily’s Half Term Halloween Colouring Competition with a chance to win prizes!

Friday 27 October

The Sound of the Night  Experience the Museum of Farnham after hours. The evening will include live music and performance artists, tour the Museum’s ‘Resonance’ exhibition and take part in imaginative craft activities. A specially stocked bar will provide all the refreshments you need. For ages 18+. Tickets must be purchased in advance.

Saturday 28 October

Rushmoor Fireworks Spectacular 2017  Once again, held at Manor Park, Aldershot, this event will be free.

Big Draw Workshop  The themed drop-in workshop at the Rural Life Centre with activities for all ages, toddlers to adults........come and have fun!

Sunday 29 October

All Hallows Eve  Join the Rural Life Centre on the ghost train for a magical evening of Halloween activities and stories — if you dare!

Tuesday 31 October

Mirth Control Comedy Live at Borellis  Borellis Wine Bar and Grill host a fantastic evening of laughs with their Halloween Comedy Club. Try out their new pizza menu and get a free pint or glass of house wine with every pizza ordered! Booking available in advance.

Wednesday 1 November

Music Explored - Illustrated Lunchtime Piano Recitals  Local composer Matthew introduces each work with an informative talk which is then illustrated with a wonderful piano recital and there is time for discussion and questions at the end. Entrance £7.00.

Thursday 2 November

Farnham Business Connections coffee morning   Join local businesses for informal networking from 10.00am until 11.30am at The Botanist, Farnham. Each event includes an open table discussion on a business related subject and always produces valuable ideas and tips. The chosen topic for November is - How to grow your business.

The Macular Society Peer Support Group  The Macular Society support group meets on a monthly basis to offer practical and emotional support to people affected by central vision loss. 

Saturday 4 November

Farnham Fireworks and Torchlit Procession 2017  The annual traditional torch lit procession through central Farnham, will finish at Farnham Park for an amazing fireworks display and bonfire. Tickets on sale now.

Farnham Rugby Union Football Club Fireworks party  Gates open at 6.30pm and there will be bars, bouncy castle, burgers and buns to enjoy. Reduced price tickets available in advance.

Maltings Monthly Market  This popular monthly market showcases local independent craftspeople, emerging designer makers, food producers and traders.

Farnham Town Walks  Enjoy guided tours of Farnham and discover its hidden charms.

Monday 6 November

Knit 'n' Natter Hosted by Farnham Assist at St Andrews Parish Meeting Rooms, you are invited to pop in with your own knitting or knit for a local charity.

Wednesday 8 November

Music at Lunchtime  Free lunchtime recital with Richard Watts, trumpet and Catherine Watts, soprano at Farnham United Reformed Church. Admission is free.

Thursday 9 November

Farnham Business Connections Networking Events  Meet like minded businesses and guest speaker Jo Aylwin who will be presenting: The Otter Wey – a community project for Farnham from Blooming Art. Find out how your business can be part of this fantastic project at Caffé Piccolo, Farnham, from 12pm to 2.00pm.

Armistice Day Commemoration  Service of remembrance at Gostrey Meadow with children from local schools on Friday 10 November. The Mayor of Farnham Councillor Mike Hodge and Mr Hugh Riley JP DL will also be attending and members of the public are very welcome.
