We are a Freehouse pub with 2 accommodation rooms upstairs. Being a Freehouse means that we can (and do!) stock all the local products and produce that we can, which is great! You’ll find some amazing Sussex ale, lager, cider, gin, and juice on the bar, and all home-cooked foods emerging from the kitchen. James does a great job on keeping us well stocked on seasonal and local pub foods. Ensure you try one of his “Proper” pies, as they’re getting very well-known in the local area for being simply, amazing. He will always have a couple of different fillings available, with at least 1 of them being suitable for vegans.
The Giant’s Rest is perfectly situated just off the main A27 trunk road, but perfectly right in the hills of the South Downs, just at the foot of Windover Hill (which is where the Longman resides).
