We visited Sovereign Harbour in early January of 2013, it was cold but bright and sunny. We took sandwiches and snacks but had a cream tea in the little cafe there.

We walked right round the Harbour and thoroughly enjoyed it.

There is a fish and chip shop, an Italian Restaurant and a Harvester from what I remember, but many more shops and restaurants in the nearby town of Eastbourne.

Not too many shops there but a little retail park within walking distance with a Next and Asda.

We took the family down there with their children and the kids loved all the boats and were fascinated with the lock when a fishing boat came in.

There could be more made of this place but we have to remember that it is residential too, so the people living there (of which we could be doing) obviously don't want it too comercialised.

We are looking forward to having a Harbour trip in the summer.

We have been there several times more and are looking at property to buy as we loved it there and the surrounding area so much.

Near to Beachy head with it's stunning views, I can't wait to visit again.

I would definitely recommend this for a pleasant walk, if you like amusement arcades and fairs it's definitely NOT for you.

We visited in February. It is a great place to stroll out on to the beach, watch boats coming and going in the harbour, have something to eat and combine it with the cinema if you have time.

Each to their own I suppose but I love to visit here on a warm summers day for a meal. Sit and watch the boats go by while you eat or drink. We usually go to the Thai restaurant which is particularly good . Would give it 4 if it did not rely so much on the weather being good to be enjoyable ,although you can eat inside if its bad ,it rather defeats the object.

a great place to go to see the boats and yachts come in and to stroll around the perimeter of the harbor and sometimes see the sea rescue boats come in and a few fishing boats that are hired for the day and there are restaurants there, Chinese, Indian and others, including a fish and chip takeaway and a few shop and also the boat yard selling boats and yachts if you have the money

Good venue on the outskirts of Eastbourne many restauants and eating places and also a cineworld with a great selection of current films. Ample parking spaces and a lovely waterfront where in the summer is great to stop and have a meal or just a drink by the waterside. Sun, sea and great food await you here at the harbourl

easy to get around with a wheelchair, lots of places to eat and lovely to look at all the boats in the marina.
the signposting to get there is terrible OK for locals and once you've been but pot luck for strangers.

This marina has been built recently and offer numerous shops and restaurants. Walk from downtown along beach or take the tourist train to spend an afternoon or evening there. The housing area is very well designed and beautiful. Recommend a design shop and italian style restaurant.

Many dozens of yachts and cruisers are berthed here. You can walk round the main part of the harbour, including crossing the lock gates between marina and sea. The lock gates open on the hour and half hour for boats to come and go. Plenty on restaurants and cafes on the Waterfront. Harbour tours by boat.

Frequently brought our boat here. Very easy to get into - staff very helpful - and probably the most luxurious marina showers I've ever experienced!

What a lovely surprise going there was, certainly worth a visit, would like to retire in one of the beautiful apartments. Plenty of places to eat inside and out. If you go there look out for the Seal which lives in the lock and goes out to sea during the day

For someone who appreciates Boats and Ships like I do, as well as having a passion for photography, then this is like a grown-ups fun park.
Lines with restaurants and shops, you have to plan for at least half a day when wandering around this wonderful location.

If you are planning to eat at one of the many restaurants on offer here then be sure to book your table in advance, or when you arrive. We found it to be very busy everywhere, a hive of activity, the retailers must have been extremely pleased that day, as every shop and food outlet was buzzing. There is outside eating where you can people watch or become absorbed with the sights of the crafts bobbing about in the marina. There is a cinema and several retail outlets to please all tastes. Although the car park is large it soon fills up as it feeds so many businesses.
