Came here on a date to have a walk and buy some fish and chips. Although we arrived as the chip shop was closing. Good variety of bars and restaurants and good for a walk looking at the yachts boats and the luxury dwellings around the outside.

Eastbourne Marina is a little walk from the car park but well worth a visit- and if you can lots of visits. There are several shops and lots of eateries catering for loads of tastes. The harbour is full of yachts and motorboats with some entering and leaving all the time through the locks. You can walk round the harbour-or part of it as it is very large and will take a long time to walk round. once you have enjoyed the sights you could then pop back into one of the restaurants, cafes or bars before you head back to the car and plan your next visit.

The Sovereign Harbour is a lovely area to go for a walk and to call into one of its varied restaurants/coffee shops. On a sunny day especially it is like being in the South of France as with its outdoor dining and with all the boats glistening in the harbour there is a very Meditteranean feel about it. There is a small boat that offers trips around the harbour and the seafront is a short walk. To the rear of the Harbour there is also a shopping area with supermarkets, Next, Boots, TK Maxx and Matalan etc. and also a cinema complex

Beautiful scenery. Loads of places to eat and drink. Perfect in the summer months or a cosy meal for two in one of its many restraunts. Not a lot of parking. But over flow into the crumbles shopping area isn't too far to walk. Go regularly and recommend to family visiting the area

My wife and I, accompanied by my younger son and fiance dined ' All fresco '. We chose to eat at The Harvester Restaurant, over looking the inner basin. This is a great, family ,child friendly, location with a good choice of restaurants and cuisine. Take time to stroll around the harbour, before or after eating. Enjoy !b:-)

From one bed sea front flats to six bedroom Marina access mansions; from dinghies to ocean going yachts and from cosy bars to exclusive restaurants, this has it all. Far and away the best Marina development I have seen in the UK.
Well worth a visit.

As residents of the Soverign Harbour development we frequently walk around the Marina. In the 14 years we have lived here the Marina has expanded to include great restaurants a very good pub and is adjacent to an excellent retail park namely the Crumbles.A woderful place to live and thousands of visitors enjoy it every year.

If you are sailing in, a safe haven accessed via a lock gate past the lighthouse with it's three short bursts ident. The home of the Eastbourne Lifeboat. In the harbour, which I view from my apartment are a selection of bars and restaurants to visit. Over the years they have become less exclusive and the odd one a bit rough after dark. At the top end Thai Marina, best to book and fairly pricey but worth it, then Simply Itailian, Havester and others.

Sovereign Harbour Marina is well worth a visit. Walk round the four inner harbours and see the luxury yachts and the local fishing fleet combined with some of the very expensive waterside houses. You may be lucky enough to see yachts being craned in and out of the water and others passing through the locks on their way to the open sea or the two resident seals basking on the mud of the outer harbour at low tide. Every Sunday morning at 10.30, the lifeboat sets off on it's weekly practice session. When you've done all that, you'll be ready for something to eat at one of the many waterside cafes and restaurants with their outside seating areas, and do a bit of people watching while enjoying your meal - weather permitting!

Love to have a walk by the sea or in the marina.
The restaurants, pubs and cafes are really a plus to the marina as you can take a bit to simply have a bite and chill out or walk/exercise and then have a hot or cold drink. Recommend.

This is a nice place to visit, we live here and never get bored of it. With 2 Italian, one 'American Diner' one Thai, Curry house, bar, cafe, Seasons(locally sourced stuff apart from wine)a fish and chip shop and a 'Harvester'(ok for what it is) there's plenty to choose from. You can take a nice walk around the well kept marina. The only thing lacking is a fish and chip restaurant, as there are working fishing boats it would seem a good idea to have somewhere selling it in the summer there's a little boat you can go on for a sightseeing trip around the harbour and a rib that takes you out to Beachy Head. My favourites to eat are Pablos Italian, Thai are both excellent.

The problem with Sovereign Harbour Marina is that it is so inaccessible by public transport. Unless one has a car, one must rely on public transport (bus) to get there. On a weekends, these run very infrequently. I made the mistake of going there on the weekend and having to wait for an hour to return to Eastbourne.

love this place, Eastbourne should no longer be remembered for a tatty old seaside town, this place has lush coffee shops, safe and friendly walks, a harbour boat and great views. the houses and flats are well kept and there are young families and couples everywhere. I would move here.

As our title suggests, we took the kids for some lunch over Eastbourne way, and stopped in to the harbour as we know there are plenty of places to eat there. We wandered around looking at the apartments and the boats and tried to work out prices for both which was fun! Then we needed to eat and so choose the harvester which we have reviewed elsewhere

Just popped here for a visit whilst staying in Eastbourne. Very clean and easy to walk round. Plenty of shops and eating places around the Marina. Lovely to see all the boats moored and would be nice to visit at night for the atmosphere.

The area is a huge housing estate right next to the sea, with several marinas. There were lots of restaurants next to one of them, but it was bit too cold for outdoor dining.

Just round the corner was a shopping centre overshadowed by Asda, but Boots, Matalan, Next were also there.

Get there easily from town on the number 99 bus, but get off when you see Asda, or it will be along walk back from the next stop..
