As we have an apartment there we use the restaurants all the time on our visits to the harbour. Seasons is very friendly with excellent light meals, coffee and is always busy right in the heart of the harbour. simply Italian is a good standard of Italian food and lovely to sit outside on a sunny day

Plenty to see and do around this extensive development. Lots of eating places to cater for all needs. Plenty of parking at the adjacent retail park.

Set behind the Crumbles retail park shops upon what 'once upon a time' was Hall and Co's dredged out large ponds for the production of aggregates, the Sovereign Harbour Marina development provides a relaxing diversion at the Eastern end of the town.
With several Bars and Restaurants catering to most tastes, Thai, Indian, Italian as well as British fare, you can sit and chill after the rigors of the shops.... or take my advice, turn the ladies loose on the shops while you sit and relax with a cool beer in the sunshine - people, wildlife or boat watching!
With an 'off road' cycle lane to the East and West, it's a great diversionary break on a bike ride too......
Best suited to a sunny day's visit, take the camera if you're into serious photography, you won't regret it.

Sitting on a sun on a sun drenched terece, overlooking a first class marina surrounded by high class restaurants with the odd boat trip leaving the jetty. No you are not in Greece or Italy this is all available at Eastbourne marina. You really do get the 'I am on holiday' feeling. And afterwards there is a retail park behind were we go to see a good film. This sounds a bit like an advert I know but we always have a great time there.

Went to an evening at a great venue in the Marina; many there were enjoying a relaxed atmosphere with dancing, good food and the bonus of walking home afterwards! Day or evening, Sovereign Harbour seems to have it all for a good time; walks by the beach as well.

Enjoy looking at the boats whilst eating from a good selection of cuisine from around the world. It is possible to walk around the central part of the Marina crossing walkways over the water. A good way to burn one or two of the many calories you will consumed in one of the waterside restaurants.

Been there twice and had a very pleasant time. Lovely spot with some nice restaurants with a nice view. Also quite secure from the wind, so great for summer nights!

Take a stroll round the harbours admiring the different boats moored or watch the return of the fishing boats coming through the locks or enjoy a boat ride. So much to see and do! Lots of different cafes, restaurants and bars to suit all pockets. Nearby is the Sovereign shopping centre with a good mix of well known stores and cinema.

First a bit of history. Before Sovereign Harbour was developed, the area it occupies was called The Crumbles. It consisted of shingle banks which stretched to Pevensey Bay to the east of Eastbourne. It was known for its solitude and was home to breeding birds and salt-loving plants.
Now, Sovereign Harbour is a vast marina. All around the marina are residential dwellings. These stretch well beyond the actual boat mooring areas. There are several restaurants, bars and shops. Some have nice outside eating areas and on a lovely warm evening you can enjoy a meal and watch the boats. There are two locks at the entrance of the marina. You can see cabin cruisers, sailing boats and small fishing boats entering and leaving. Just beyond this area the Eastbourne lifeboat is moored, ready for action. Just a little way back from the marina, is a cinema and well known shop brands. There is a substantial car parking area as well.

Staying in Eastbourne we were just out exploring when we saw the signs for the Marina and thought we would take a look. This is quite an impressive complex with Bars, Restaurants and coffee shops along with some well known larger retail outlets. We stopped at a little Italian Restaurant - can't remember the name- and had some of the best coffee and cake I can remember. Excellent experience all round

We only had a walk around here, so no comment on the shops or restaurants. Walking around the marina wasn't the easiest thing in the world, as the way wasn't always obvious (despite my cunning plan on keeping the water to our left). It was pleasant when the path was obvious, though it was a very windy day, which made it quite noisy due to the rigging on the boats banging about in the wind. If you knew your way, I would rate it as a 4 star walk, but not knowing, only 3. Interesting to see an old naval patrol boat and a modern lifeboat in the marina, but not exactly Monaco harbour for big yachts,
