A great place to visit. Wide paved harbour basin ideal for leisurely circular walks. Stand by the locks and watch the yachts and fishing boats enter and leave the harbour. With luck you may see fish, cormorants, eels or the 2 resident seals, near the lifeboat. Lots of outside seating and great range of restaurants, Harvester, Thai, Simply Italian, Indian, wine bars etc.

The weather was very bad when we visited. We went to get a meal and despite the weather we found parking at a premium and leaves quite a walk especially if you are not good on your feet. Worth a visit but not as good as when first opened.

Lovely walk all around the marina, some great restaurants and shops, find a cafe with outside seating and enjoy the beautiful boats coming and going.

Sovereign Harbour Marina has a number of restaurants and coffee shops which overlook the yachts that are moored there. Just about every kind of cuisine is catered for, from the standard Harvester, to Italian, Mediterranean through to Thai.
When the sun is shining and you're sitting outside with friends, you could be anywhere in the world. A wonderful experience, enhanced by the fact that you can park for free.

We often take a stroll around the harbour with a bag of chips from the very good chip shop there, but every time the toilets at the entrance are always in a terrible state, so smelly, wet floors, disgusting, and no need for it..there can be no excuse, we've been to places where the volume of traffic is phenomenal , like disneyworld, and the toilets are spotless...not impressed... Where's the staff cleaning toilets and sweeping rubbish from the pavements?? They are desperately needed

Stopped for a light lunch after walking the promenade along Eastbourne Coast. Lovely little marina, with little shops and eating area.

Best places to eat are Pablos and Semores (spelling maybe incorrect) Pablos serves excellent Italian food much better than the other Italian place on the Marina. Semores is a little gem. Excellent value on drinks and the food is brilliant, full English breakfast for £4.50. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. It may look small but the service is second to noe

It was lovely place to sit and watch all the boats go in and out, having a meal and drink, but unfortunately had to sit outside in October. Luckily the weather was okay and not too cold, but I think the Marina would benefit (as Eastbourne seems to be a very dog friendly place) from having options for dog owners to sit inside.

Went to the Harvester and it was awful. I am on a constant diet, but thought as I was out on a jolly would have a burger. A real treat!!! We were kept waiting ages and when it finally arrived it was dry, didn't have the burger sauce on it, the chips were rank and I would never go there again!!

The Marina is a great place to visit with its moderate host of eateries including a HARVESTER Pub and a really fresh fish and chips shop (lovely..every Saturday evening)
There is also a small assortment of shops to browse around in too.
But nothing can beat sitting outside the pub or any of the eateries (plenty of tables and chairs) on a warm summers day.
The area is very family friendly, with kids feeding the very large fish in the Marina (and of course the inevitable seagulls!)
It really is a glorious atmosphere and environment, would recommend it to all.
I'd like to add that we also live there...Heaven.

A wonderful place to sit outside and view the boats on the Marina.
There is a great selection of restaurants to choose from, to cover all tastes and open all year round. You can sit inside too and get a harbour view.

Sovereign Harbour Marina is really worth a visit if you're in Eastbourne. There are a variety of eating places catering for all tastes, a couple of bars and a lovely gift shop. In the summer, you can take a little boat trip around the Harbour for a small fee.

A lovely 45 minute stroll along the promenade from Eastbourne pier will bring you to Sovereign Harbour. There's a good choice of restaurants, cafes and bars, and on a sunny day with a view of the marina and a cold beer, it's a lovely place to relax for a couple of hours.

Sovereign Harbour is a good place to go for Lunch, (you are spoilt for choice as there are so many places to choose from). After Lunch as it was a lovely sunny day, my friends and I decided to walk around the Marina looking at the various boats moored there. They do Boat Trips from there too. Nearby there are some shops a Supermarket, a Petrol Station and a Cinema (which was showing one of the latest films). The Car Park has plenty of places to Park, which are FREE, this was very unexpected. We will certainly visit Sovereign Harbour next time we are down at Eastbourne.

On a lovely sunny day a walk around the marina (if you're lucky you will spot the seals) followed by a coffee looking out at the yachts, you would be forgiven for thinking you were in the South of France. Good choice of restaurants as well.
