The Harbour marina is a wonderful place to visit and sit and have a coffee or a meal whilst watching the boats, especially when it is sunny. you can take boat trips around the harbour and to other areas along the south coast. There are some good shops to buy souveneir's and gifts. There is also free parking which is a bonus.

I have lived in the harbour for 13 years so I enjoy the local area, the main issue is the number of restaurants and other outlets let the harbour down .During the summer or any decent weather it gets too busy but outside of these times it is Ok .There is a good selection of eateries and bars and a nice walk along the beach and the locks is enjoyable, keep an eye out for the local seals during low tide

Summer or winter, there is always a good atmosphere on the harbour. Plenty of places to eat and drink and a few shops to browse. Harbour trips on the boat or just sit and watch the world go by. Extremely busy in the summer.

A lovely marvel of modern engineering, this harbour houses some fantastic yachts and some rather lovely harbour view apartment complexes. Overall nothing special but worth a visit.

Been here a number of times, both in all seasons of the year. In the Summer you can get a boat ride round the Marian and a commentary from them about various facets from costs of apartments, to impressive yachts that don't move from one year to another-just status symbols?
There is a variety of eating establishments, but not all of them are open in the winter months.
In nice sunny weather its a grand place to eat and drink or talk a walk right round even over the lock gates that connect out to the sea.

Luckily for me I lived here from 2001 for many years. So from a local point of view I loved the fact that it can offer several places to eat with a variety of cuisine for all your taste buds. In summer, yes those two weeks of the year, there is really nothing more pleasant than sitting by the waterside and eating or drinking while the sun bounces off the water and shines on your face. It really is so relaxing. I can't fault any of the establishments or their staff as all have always been welcoming and professional. The harbour has been overdeveloped over the years unfortunately but when you get that hour to sit at one of the restaurants you'd never know. Enjoy it and maybe even take a boat trip in around the five harbours.

not my kind of place but some will enjoy this man-made marina (largest in Northern Europe!!!). If you want cinema, TK Maxx KFC etc., then this is for you.

Great place for everybody to walk around marina, see the seals, have a boat trip or to try one of the many restaurants, at all price levels. Great to be here especially on a sunny day when you can just sit and admire.

Stopped off en route to Eastbourne for a coffee and we had a very pleasant wander round. There are a decent number of outlets there, all as part of the ongoing development of the marina area.

All very modern and fresh. There are plenty of outlets there especially if you consider the adjoining shopping area.

Very pleasant on a crisp winter morning.

Great place to visit with a multitude of places to eat ranging from coffee shops, fish & chips, American dining, Indian, Italian and Thai. Plus a pub serving food and a bar. There is also hair and beauty salons plus a dentist. There is lots of outdoor seating for the better weather. Lots of free parking. Nice walk along the harbour. Boat rides from the harbour available. Well worth a visit - probably a couple of hours of entertainment, not a full day.

The marina offers a good choice of restaurants - visit Pablos for risotto, Simply Italy for pizza, or the Thai place for a set lunch, and you're unlikely to feel disappointed or overcharged. And then perhaps a short walk to the coast?

Great for dog walking around the prom areas for the public and they now have seals to watch in the outer harbour. It is effectively a large housing estate sliced in half called north and south harbour but they do have a little complex with some lovely restaurants and a eatery/wine bar called seasons which is lovely for a drink. They do need more high end wine bars down there so you would be able to eat and then enjoy the whole night down there.

Came here on a date to have a walk and buy some fish and chips. Although we arrived as the chip shop was closing. Good variety of bars and restaurants and good for a walk looking at the yachts boats and the luxury dwellings around the outside.

Eastbourne Marina is a little walk from the car park but well worth a visit- and if you can lots of visits. There are several shops and lots of eateries catering for loads of tastes. The harbour is full of yachts and motorboats with some entering and leaving all the time through the locks. You can walk round the harbour-or part of it as it is very large and will take a long time to walk round. once you have enjoyed the sights you could then pop back into one of the restaurants, cafes or bars before you head back to the car and plan your next visit.

The Sovereign Harbour is a lovely area to go for a walk and to call into one of its varied restaurants/coffee shops. On a sunny day especially it is like being in the South of France as with its outdoor dining and with all the boats glistening in the harbour there is a very Meditteranean feel about it. There is a small boat that offers trips around the harbour and the seafront is a short walk. To the rear of the Harbour there is also a shopping area with supermarkets, Next, Boots, TK Maxx and Matalan etc. and also a cinema complex
