We hadn't booked and they were busy, but they found us a table straight away. Very attentive waiting staff and service. Nice atmosphere / buzz. We chose the lasagne al forno, which was impressively tasty and piping hot. Desserts were also very tasty. Thoroughly recommended.

Food was ok, starter of fried octopus which was neither crispy nor hot. My wife had pasta with chicken which she said was ok. I had spaghetti carbonara which was good but unfortunately as the parmesan is only served very sparingly by the waitress rather than left on the table I thought that was a bit stingy and didn't enjoy it as much as I could have. But then again they are probably doing it to stop cheese lovers like me from loading their pasta with parmesan (which for me is the best part of eating pasta! ).

Popped in here in my own whilst visiting on business and it was one of the closest restaurants to my hotel.
It was a Tuesday night night fairly late on, but the restaurant was busy and had some big groups in.
I got a very warm welcome and got seated quickly. The staff who served me were all Italian and very friendly and attentive.
The food came out quick and was fine, but I did think the pizza was a bit bland. Maybe I just made the wrong choice. The chilli oil was great !
The garlic bread wasn’t much different to the slices you get in Sainsbury’s but with some mozzarella in top.
I had the house red wine and it was lovely.
In summary, service was great, wine very good but next time I would try something else from the extensive menu.

I recently visited Pomadoro with a group of Rotarians. We were going on to the theatre to see My Fair Lady. Pomadoro is just along the road from the Devonshire Park theatre. We had already booked a table which was a good job as it was full. Most of us chose from the set menus which are well priced at £18.40 for 2courses or £23.50 for 3 courses. There was a good variety on both menus. But you could choose an individual dish if you wanted to . The food was tasty & hot. We all enjoyed our meals & I for one will come again.

Turned up without a booking at 6pm on a Saturday night with the one year old and four year old in tow, and we were surprised to see it was already pretty busy. The best meal experience with the kids we’ve had - lightening fast friendly service, good tasty food and reasonably priced. Might not be on the cutting edge of gastronomy but couldn’t fault it for a family meal out. Highly recommended if you have kids.

I visited Pomodoro e Mozzarella about a week ago. I was walking home from work, thinking "what shall I eat..." And there it was. I'm quite new around here, but I've heard of Pomodoro from friends before, they described it as the best Italian restaurant in Eastbourne. I have to say, there is definitely a lot of truth in that statement.
I've ordered spaghetti carbonara, glass of pinot grigio and water.Spaghetti was beautifully al dente, just as it should and the carbonara sauce was lovely rich and flavoursome. The portion was huge, and even though I wasn't starving I almost finished it. It left me satisfyingly full and happy. I thought it was a very good value although no room for a dessert...

All the staff were very friendly and efficient.I paid with card and the card machine didn't ask for a tip, which I found a surprise, perhaps there is a service charge and I didn't notice, but I had no cash on me and it made me feel guilty for not leaving a tip :( I won't make that mistake again, as I am planning to go back at some point.

Normally go next door to Locanda Del Luca as, i the past, I have found Pomodoro too loud and noisy. But .... a late Saturday afternoon lunch found us tucked away in a nice, quiet corner (upon request) and EVERYTHING was just perfect. Delicious food, great staff, great service, great choice and superb value for money (lunch 3 course menu).

I visited Pomodoro with my partner for a birthday meal. We were seated quickly and service was quick the wine and food also arrived quickly and was very tasty. Since visiting some time ago the restaurant feels a little cramped and the lighting a little too bright for me so lacks a certain ambience that I would prefer.

This is a lovely Italian restaurant. The staff are friendly and polite and the service is quick. The food......yummy! This is the second time we have visited this establishment and we were not disappointed. We would definitely go back.

As usual we found the staff to be friendly and the food very good. The menu offers good choice of dishes & desserts. And the drinks list is pretty good too!
All in all the evening was a nice way to end my working career, with the venue living up to it's long history.

I really enjoyed the food at this restaurant. We did have to wait a long time, but that was no doubt due to our large group (65) on a busy Friday evening. I had a veal dish with cheese and beautifully cooked vegetables, followed by delicious gelato, and complimentary liqueurs to make up for the wait.

My wife and I are creatures of habit. When in Eastbourne we like to use a particular Italian restaurant. However on this occasion we were persuaded by my son to try out Pomodoro & Mozzarella. What a revelation! The best Italian meal I've had outside Cortona. Great atmosphere, great food, great staff. Not bad prices either. This is now our favoured Eastbourne restaurant.
