Great takeaway just needed a bit more sauce. Maybe separate carton would be good. Will use again soon

I left a review of this restaurant a year ago - in which I gave it a 5 Star rating. P&M is my favourite restaurant - in Eastbourne (or anywhere) for reasons you can read in my earlier review.s
My wife and I, and our family, frequently use the restaurant for family get-togethers (birthdays, anniversaries, Mothers and Fathers Days, etc) and for days when we just fancy an evening out. So we were saddened when the restaurant had to close due to the Covid-19 lockdown.However, I was delighted when I read that it was due to re-open for takeaway and delivery orders. It re-opened for the first time yesterday - and I was one of the first customers to place an order. I work close to the restaurant so popped in just after it opened at 4.00pm. Gian Luca and his staff were already busy taking orders. I was pleased to see that they had taken all necessary precautions to protect staff and customers with appropriate PPE and social distancing measures in place.
Anyway, I placed an order for delivery later that evening. The menu is necessarily limited, of course, but all your favourite pasta and pizza dishes are available. I ordered a couple of side salads, two spaghetti carbonaras, and two deserts - and a beer for me. (You can also order wine by the bottle if you wish.)There is a £3.00 delivery charge and they deliver up to 2.5 miles from the restaurant, and I live right at the limit, but I was assured they would deliver - and sure enough, just after 8.00pm, the delivery arrived. It was well packaged - with separate bags for cold and hot items. The carbonara was still hot - and as tasty as I remember it. It was an excellent portion size. The salad was fresh and chilled and the beer was cold. The desserts were excellent. We will certainly order a delivery again soon.
Just be aware that it's not as cheap as a standard takeaway - my bill was £44 including delivery - but the food is so much better. Whether you're a regular visitor to P&M or not, have a night off from the cooking and order a takeaway. You won't regret it. You don't have to visit the restaurant, you can order over the phone.I wish Gian Luca and his staff all the best at this difficult time - and look forward to visiting the restaurant with all my family again in better times.

This is my favourite restaurant in Eastbourne area. Amazing prices. There is a superb set menu as well as a la cartel and a special price in the early part of the week. It is a great place to go with friends as well as suitable for family celebrations. I alsohave a Meads card and they give you 19% off the whole bill. How's that for value !

Just amazing food!<br>Sixth visit, there will be more without a doubt. Value for money, recommend 3 course. Food presentation beautiful, piping hot and absolutely delicious. Staff always friendly and inviting.

Quick and polite service. The atmosphere was great. The food was lovely. I would definitely recommend the 3 course set menu, as it is great value too. The portions were good and pricing is reasonable here. Highly recommend and can't wait to come back for my birthday

Me and my husband made a last minute decision to go out on valentines eve , we didn't think we would get a table anywhere really but tried our luck and rang pomodoro up . They had a space with just over an hours wait , so we booked . I have eaten there a couple of times but my husband hadn't. I’m vegan and I’d seen online that they had quite a few tasty options which was brilliant . Actually nice to have a few different options to choose from instead of just one or two. Husband had steak and i had a vegan margarita, we shared fries and I had chocolate torte for pudding with ice cream. Probably the best meal I’ve had , made so much better by having the choices as I mentioned and my husband said it tops his meals out too !! Looking forward to next time , keep up the good work .

We had eaten at La Locando next door in the past and tried Pomodoro for a change. Neither are disappointing. The pasta and pizza at Pomodoro are very good and the service was excellent.

Best pizza in Eastbourne - great service, authentic flavours, & lots of vegan options.

I can't believe it took me so long to try this place!
We went before seeing a show on a Saturday night. The restaurant was heaving but they still managed to seat us. There were loads of staff which meant we got served really quickly. The pizza arrived in great time and tasted amazing!
There are some great vegan options - I had pizza topped with a tomato sauce, vegan cheese, mushrooms, rocket and walnuts (with lashings of very spicy oil - much more potent than at Zizzi's!) followed by apple strudel served with vegan ice cream.
The service charge isn't automatically applied to the bill either, which I always like as it means you're more able to choose your own tip!
Overall we had a really lovely experience and would highly recommend.

The food is fantastic and reasonably priced (not cheap, but what you expect for such good food).<br><br>While I was there, I had a beer, a bottle of long blonde from long man brewery. This cost an incredible £5.60. This is only a 30 second walk from a pub charging £2.65 a pint, so only 4 stars instead of 5.

I have eaten here a few times and the food is always excellent; tasty, hot and plentiful. The restaurant is big and can get busy especially at the weekend. This means it can get quite loud and noisy. This visit I was part of a large party who ate downstairs. The waiting staff served us all quickly and efficiently. Food was well presented and hot, no comprises for a large group. The staff were on call all evening, remained courteous and helpful, happy to join in the banter but still being professional. Well done Team PeM! We had a great time!

Used to be the best restaurant in Eastbourne but see full review for reasons why it’s not anymore in my opinion.
Firstly, a waiter that previously got our order wrong chose to make us feel awkward by firstly pointing our table out whilst I sat there watching him do it. I then smiled as did my mother in law to try and make whole thing less embarrassing to which he deliberately ignored (eye contact given and a dismissive stare).
Secondly, we ordered 2 starters of Bruschetta and we both got about a half a teaspoon worth of mozzarella - beings it cost about a pound for a whole one it seemed extremely stingy when it costs nearly a tenner.
The menu has not changed in 20+ years and we have all got a bit bored now so time to look at different restaurants for a while.
On a positive, the rest of the meals were outstandingly good and rest of staff were fab as always. The manager took time to come and say hello and goodbye.
