Nicely presented food, friendly staff. Seems Covid safe - tables separated well.<br><br>Ingredients not great quality (e.g. the ham in the Calzone) but good enough.<br><br>Having said that, the chocolate orange cake with vanilla ice cream is astoundingly good... if you have a sweet tooth, this is a must!!!<br><br>Watch the bill though - they tried to add a £5.99 alcoholic drink that we didn't have! This seems to be common in some restaurants. Had to get them to knock it back off the bill.

This place is UNBELIEVABLE! make sure you book beforehand otherwise you will struggle to get a table. 8 of us eat here and every meal was excellent. Service was fast and the waiter was really nice. I had sardines, and the prawn pizza. It was the best fish pizza i have ever had. Superb place.

Have eaten here several times over the years, and the food is always good. Staff are very pleasant and accommodating and even in these trying times it is still a lively restaurant. They do do great takeouts as well.

The food here was incredible.<br><br>Started with a small pizza, and white bait. Then went to prawn tagliatelle and the lasagne (recommended - incredibly cheesy and the bechamel sauce was extraordinarily creamy.) And finished with an spectacular affogatto and this to die for tart.<br><br>Service here was amazing too. Thank you for a great Italian!!!

We have eaten here on many occasions and it never disappoints. The food is always freshly cooked and hot, the staff friendly and helpful and the restaurant clean and welcoming. Today all staff wore masks and there was plenty of hand sanitiser available if required. Movable screens in operation if table layouts had to be changed. One way in and another way out. Tables well spaced and cleaned after use. Well done to the team who worked hard to make everyone feel safe and comfortable.

Visited here for the 50% off scheme and loved it! The food was delicious and generous portions too. Very reasonable prices even without the discount and I look forward to going back again soon

Had a lovely meal here, menu is mainly pasta and pizza. Much better than any of the famous Italian chain restaurants. Generous portion sizes and a great choice of dishes. They were busy but all COVID-19 precautions were being taken and it felt safe in the restaurant. Desserts were also delicious, the tiramisu especially!

I visited Eastbourne this weekend with my family and using Tripadvisor I picked this restaurant. I was very happy with the decision!
We were seated promptly on a nice big round table, with space between the next one, and presented with comprehensive menus.
After ordering a round of drinks, a very friendly waiter assisted with our starter choices. The aubergine parm was delicious and the zucchini fritti were tasty. The waiter recommended some garlic bread too, which was light and crispy.
For mains I had veal with spaghetti carbonara (changed from pomodoro), my wife ordered penne arrabiata, my mum had a vegetarian pizza, my dad had the spicy sausage pizza and my brother had the vegetarian calzone.
The portion sizes were generous and everyone enjoyed their dishes. The dough was very light on both the pizza and calzone, which meant neither was too heavy. We enjoyed a nice bottle of valpolicella with our mains.
Despite being full we managed to share two desserts. The tiramisu was nice, but I've had better. The chocolate orange tart however was excellent!
Service was friendly and attentive throughout without being obtrusive. We were not rushed at all which enhanced our meal.
I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an Italian meal especially as the menu has something to satisfy everyone.

Definitely the best Italian restaurant I have dined in, in the UK.<br><br>50% from the new government scheme, I would have paid full price. We were seated promptly 2 evenings this week, by amazingly friendly waiters who make you feel welcome and wanted.<br><br>As for the food, I didn't know Italian food could be so flavoursome. The pizza and pasta was perfect (next door has a smaller menu and doesn't serve pizza!).<br><br>The mojito was perfect too.<br><br>6/5 stars if possible!

Ate here with my family. The staff were very friendly and courteous. The gluten free range was excellent. The pasta was delicious and good sized portions. There is a varied range of dishes to suit all tastes. Would definitely visit again in the future.

I visited with my friend and my 3 month old baby. Thanks to the buzz of a busy restaurant I felt relaxed dining with a small child.

We were fortunate to be able to get a take-away from this restaurant in May and promised ourselves that we would go back for a sit-down meal once everything settled down.
We are so pleased that we went on Thursday evening. Obviously the restaurant has been changed so that tables are more spaced out. Luca and his staff are fully aware of all the hygiene requirements and were wearing the necessary protective coverings to keep customers safe. They were also wiping down the menus, cruet sets, tables, etc., every time they were used. So we definitely felt very safe.Yet again the food was first class, as was the service. My husband chose the Veal Milanese whilst I had the Tagliatelle Mare e Monti, both of which were delicious, together with a bottle of the house white wine.
We had hoped to have room for a dessert but the portions were so generous that we were too full. Perhaps next time?It was lovely to be back again, and good to see the restaurant busy. You obviously need to book particularly with the reduced capacity for diners, but you will not be disappointed.
