The restaurant was recommended by a previous visitor to Eastbourne, and did not disappoint.
From the greeting at the desk to hand shake on departure the visit was fab. My only small criticism is the price of the deserts compared to the cost of a main meal. But both pasta and plaice dishes were delicious.
Definitely worth a visit.

Moved to Eastbourne from Brighton and this was the first night's choice to have our meal in our new home town.
Had a really delicious 2 course set menu, great tasting starters and Pasta. And a lovely bottle of wine.
Very relaxed, superb service from our waiter Andre. Can't fault anything about the evening. We will be regulars here for sure.
And to ice the cake... We parked right outside the restaurant. Happy!

We have been to Pomodoro e Mozzarella twice now, both times, the food, service and setting were delightful and such good value for money. Would thoroughly recommend.

We were there on a Thursday evening and the restaurant was quite full. The staff were attentive but not overly so.
We went for a two course special offer and were not disappointed. Lovely fresh starters and really good, fresh and fairly big stone baked pizza.
My only criticism would be that the tables are a little too close together and I felt that conversations could be overheard but all in all I would return if back in Eastbourne again.

Have been visiting Pomodoro for many years now and we have never been let down. The food is always delicious. The only minor criticism would be that for regular visitors the set menu is very limited and has not changed in years. Otherwise this is an excellent restaurant with good seating and service.

Good, diverse Italian menu; decent prices; welcoming staff; and above all very good food. Regularly use the Pomodoro e Mozzarella for family parties, meals with friends, in fact any excuse will do. Highly recommended.

This restaurant has plenty of space spread over 2 shop fronts and the basement, so do go in even if it looks busy. The staff was very attentive and the food very good. We all got a free liqueur at the end of our meal.

It doesn't really look that nice, kinda cheap and dated. However the food is exceptional! I recommend the carbonara. The portions are suitable for the price, and the staff are friendly and quite funny actually. I would recommend several times over.

Just enjoyed another great meal here! Service was really good staff very friendly and helpful towards menu choices. The layout is spacious and the food is always excellent! The prices are reasonable for the end product. I have never had a bad meal here and will always go back! Really worth a try if you haven't before.

We enjoyed a wonderful meal here on a buzzing Saturday night. The starters were lovely and the portion size of the main meals were great value for money. We had a pizza and the toppings were plentiful, and a pasta dish. The wait staff were attentive and very friendly.
If you like Italian food definitely try Pomodoro e Mozzarella!

Recommended by Darren from The Mowbray. The food was beautiful, the staff attentive and friendly. We didn't wait long for service even though the restaurant was nearly full. The pizza base was thin and the topping lovely. The pasta was delicious as was the whitebait. Great Italian food would be a regular if we lived close by.

My husband and I enjoyed a pleasant meal here one Friday evening in March. It is a large restaurant but felt atmospheric - busy but not full. The decor is a little dated (everything in bright yellow and blue) but I'll forgive them :-)
The staff are genuinely friendly without being pushy; we didn't wait long for anything. I enjoyed my puttanesca sauce which came over penne although may have preferred it served with spaghetti. My husband really enjoyed his penne pizzaiola (sp?) and the bowls were beautifully decorated with a drizzle of balsamic glaze and sprinkles of fresh peppers (I will be borrowing this idea for dinner parties!). The only negative point was that my 'freshly squeezed orange juice' at around £2.50 tasted no better than cheap 70p per litre concentrated stuff. I would have mentioned it if the rest of the experience hadn't been so good. Total bill for two pasta mains, one alcoholic and one soft drink was only £25.

Got takeaway pizzas and they were very nice. The bases were so crisp and light, they felt almost healthy! Just the right amount of toppings too... More Italian than American deep pan. Would recommend.

It was lovely to go to a restaurant where gluten free had a separate menu plus any pasta or pizza topping off the main menu!!
The gluten free pizza base was amazing - thin & tasty!! My husband tried it & said he couldn't tell the difference.....Thans for a great dining experience - we will be back when we visit Eastbourne again!!

This restaurant has good and bad points. Good menu with lots of choice, with good gluten free options. Not the ideal location for a romantic meal as it gets very loud making it difficult to hear your fellow diner. Service is on the whole good, although we have fallen foul to the odd moody waiter, they need to remember at times that the customer is king, without us they wouldn't have a job!

We enjoyed a pre-show meal here. The staff were very friendly and attentive and even sang happy birthday to my wife, which made the meal even more special. The food was cooked well and the flavours great but some of the dishes seemed a little pricey and that is my only reason for not giving 5 stars. This restaurant has quite a lot of tables and I would imagine that it can get quite noisy later in the evening but we enjoyed the atmosphere. Next time we visit Eastbourne, we will return to the Pomodoro e Mozzarella.

We like it here! My favourite ever restaurant and has been for a long time. Also a bonus if you have old theater tickets as they give you 10% off!

Have been here now a couple of times as i live around the corner and have been happy with the food both times. I especially enjoyed the calzone and the pasta is pretty good to.Very reasonably priced for the quality of food you get. Looking forward to many more visits.

The food was tasty here and reasonable value. As a couple, however, a Friday evening was perhaps not the best choice. The harsh lighting does nothing to add to a relaxing or romantic evening and created an almost canteen atmosphere. Having several different members of staff interrupt our conversation to ask if everything was ok (sometimes just minutes after each other) showed a lack of communication. However, the staff were friendly and maybe as part of a group or at lunchtime I would have preferred the atmosphere.

Went with around 100 people on a business conference and have to say they handled it very well. Prompt with food and excellent quality.
Definitely go again when next down on business.

I visited here for lunch with friends, the pizza was great, as was I am told the pasta and calzone. The two or three course menu is good value for money. They also offer a gluten free menu for those who want it and plenty of veggie dishes. Wine good a nd fairly priced. Staff friendly and attentive.
