Whenever you visit you are welcomed as if you are an old friend. The menu is extensive and the food good. We have family who require gluten free, vegetarian food and they are well catered for.
This restaurant is well situated to cater for Eastbourne's Devonshire Park and Congress theatres.
A good sign is that Pomodoro's is nearly always busy with a mixture of locals and visitors, so it is wise to book in advance.

The food was well prepared and presented and the service was excellent. We went on a very damp evening so it would have been nice to have somewhere other than the backs of our chairs to hang our coats. Thought the desserts were a little pricey for the size of the portion but the main meal was very good value.

Wonderful food and friendly efficient staff.
Some excellent pre dinner and lunch time deals too.
Thin crust pizza is great.
Good selection and price range of wines too.

My daughter, her boyfriend my son and myself went to this restaurant on a very busy Saturday night. We had booked so we were taken to our seats straight away. The service was very quick even though it was busy. We ordered a bottle of wine and drinks and was quickly served. Our starter was excellent so was our main. The waiter service was so good and a most enjoyable night and would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to friends and family.

If you want tried and tested Italian style good that will neither excite or disappoint then this is the place for you. The food is good but has nothing to set it apart from every other Italian style restaurant on the high street. Popular with the older crowd and business lunches.

We had dinner here in November. We particularly like the bucket of mussels with chips. Don't have a restaurant locally that does that. We usually have a meal ar this restaurant when we are in Eastbourne as it is close to the hotel we stay in.

We stayed in Eastbourne at the weekend and popped in on the off chance for a meal on the Saturday night. Lovely restaurant, lots of very friendly staff, they all came over and said hello and thanked us for coming. The staff were very efficient, our order was taken quickly and food came promptly. Food was lovely - the apple strudel was to die for. The restaurant was packed, no sooner had people left, more people came in, so its obviously the place to eat in Eastbourne. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic dinner, service brilliant, have been here many times, but this was special. 3yr old grandaughter was really welcomed, an unexpected birthday pud and song was given. Nothing but praises for this exceptional restaurant. Well done!....

Good lunch today at Pommodoro, Very attentive staff and a quick visit from the owner. Not sure why some diners get a lemon sorbet after coffee and some do not. We have noticed this seems to be a complimentary nicety but twice running now we have not been offered this??. Disappointingly our friends soup was luke warm! but he does not like to make a fuss so did not complain. almon delicious as usual, Pizza was good and so was the Veal. Thank you to all

We go fairly regularly, for lunch. Food is consistently good, service is very friendly and welcoming. We have children and old people in our group and all are very happy with their meals, and the atmosphere is great.

Whilst in Eastbourne for a day-long event we booked into P&M on our first night. the food was so good, and the service so amenable that we decided to book a table for the following night too, and make a weekend of it. On both visits we received a warm welcome with high quality, fresh plentiful food. This is easily one of the nicest "red sauce" joints we've been to and is quite similar - in many respects - to the famous Scalini's in Knightsbridge.

A well-established and well-patronised Italian restaurant, Pomodoro has built a deserved reputation for consistently good food. While the menu may seem long, there are regular changes and specials. All the to-be-expected pasta and pizza dishes are there, but the fish and meat dishes are carefully chosen and form a select group. Starters and main courses are generously portioned. There is a good and popular children's menu. Pomodoro has a thriving lunchtime as well as pre-theatre and evening business. Its set menus are sensibly structured and priced. Every effort is made to cater for many age groups and this has made the restaurant very popular with students and the younger generation as well as a loyal following from families and the retired. Its staff is loyal. friendly and efficient and the owner keeps a tight control over this and his sister restaurant next door. A great restaurant? No, but it doesn't set out to be but it is a very good one.

Dishes included spaghetti and lasagne both in dishes on their own like islands in the Arctic neither with salad and fish - food was good, the red wine awful nothing to complain about but equally nothing to rave about either.

We went here with friends and really enjoyed the fantastic Italian food. Pomodoro e Mozzarella have a tasty gluten free menu as well as serving pastas, pizzas, meat, fish and vegetarian dishes!
The food we had was very enjoyable; the ambience of the restaurant was vibrant and the staff were helpful and friendly.
Pomodoro e Mozzarella is not far from the centre of Eastbourne and parking in the evening was not a problem. Overall a very enjoyable experience, one I am happy to repeat.

I met up with a couple of friends I hadn't seen for awhile. We went here as both of friends have dietary requirements. My friend phoned up to ask if they could cater for them and they could. Such a warm welcome and the service is excellent. The food is delicious.

Pomodoros is a great restaurant. The range of dishes is huge, the portions are generous and it's not overpriced. Service is prompt and generally, the staff are great (except once when they were rude to and upset my friend because she only ordered chips!). It's great for large parties as there is something on the menu for everyone and you all get served at the same time. The only reason this doesn't get '5 stars' is that it gets very very busy in the evening and it's often very noisy so not a place for a quiet or intimate meal.

Twice in the last 1 year i have taken my family for dinner and on both occasions we felt that the waiter was rude and abrupt. Food was good. Previously we went fairly often but we have decided not to go there again and haven't been for some time and do not plan to either.

My family and i have been coming here for many years. We have never been disappointed. Great food, wonderful welcome and very child-friendly. The owner, Luca, stamps his authority gently over every aspect of the experience. Well worth a visit

A warm welcome, efficient, friendly service, good selection of food on the menu, good gluten free pizzas - all in all a good experience. The ambience is a little cold, due to the excessive lighting - I wouldn't say it's a romantic place to go but have no hesitation in recommending it if you're looking for good value Italian in Eastbourne.
