I have been there on a couple of occasions both times in a large group. The waiting staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is pleasant. If you go when it's too busy you can be waiting a long time and the service is not so good. The food is lovely, particularly the salmon and spinach pasta and goats cheese pizza and their desserts are also very nice (ice cream stuffed profiterols!!!) The price is quite expensive compared to a lot of places and doesn't always reflect the food served.

Enjoyed this restaurant for many years. We probably eat here every couple of months or so and have never had a bad experience. The restaurant is also centrally located, just up from the War Memorial in Cornfield terrace, so it's easy to find.
Has a varied menu to suit most tastes and the wine list is pretty good too! We have always found the Staff very friendly, despite it being a very popular and busy venue! If you are going out to the Theatre for an evening performance, this is a good place to had a quick meal before hand. But it is worth telling the Staff of your deadline at the theatre!

Went for a pre theatre meal mid week , very busy and bustling but staff were friendly and although rushed very efficient. Good freshly cooked food and very handy for local theatres with early opening. Handy half bottles of wine available .

We decided to come here during our overnight stay in Eastbourne after seeing so many great reviews. The restaurant was full when we arrived and although we didn’t wait too long to be seated the staff took a very long time to take our order and never asked us if our meal was ok. I enjoyed the pizza but it didn't particularly stand out against any other Italian restaurants I've visited and just felt like a more expensive, less tasty version of many of the others.

We were staying at a nearby hotel and this restaurant was recommended, plus a 10% discount was offered, so we popped down to see what was on offer. We were surprised by the £11.75 offer of a three course meal, and imagined there wouldn't much to choose from, or that the quality might not be great. How wrong we were! Each course was delicious, with very generous portions, and we really enjoyed every mouthful.
The staff were very welcoming, and we were well looked after throughout the meal. The bruschetta wasnt vegetarian with buffalo mozzarella, so the waitresss (after checking for me) offered to change the cheese so that I could still have what I had chosen. I was also really pleased to find mocktails on the menu, so that I could enjoy a glamorous drink while pregnant! We were also interested to see that they offered gluten free options for all of their dishes, and even a gluten free lager! My sister in law is coeliac, so we always look at what restaurants can offer. All in all, this restaurant is great quality and excellent value for money!

My partner and I walked from Seaford to Eastbourne taking in the Seven Sisters and Beachy Head. Having arrived in Eastbourne we wanted to eat before returning back to Ashford. This was the first restaurant we came to and from the outside appeared full. We decided to try our luck so went in and asked if they'd got a table for two. They did, which we were promptly escorted to and within 10 minutes we had seen the menu, ordered our food and had it put in front of us. We both had the spaghetti bolognese and a side order of garlic bread. The bolognese was scrumptious but the garlic bread was a let down. Service was excellent and so too was the atmosphere. Prices where also reasonable. It was a perfect end to a perfect day and would highly recommend this restaurant.....just don't have the garlic bread!!!

Had not visited for a while but did so last night. It was a pre-theatre visit that transpired to be a lovely start to an enjoyable evening, the food was very good value accompanied by good service. We arrived 15 minutes early but were shown immediately to our table and given the menu, just a few minutes later a waiter ask for our drinks order without expecting us to be ready for our food order, a habit which annoys me in many restaurants. The meal, there were four of us, was to our satisfaction as was the service we received during our meal. At the end of our meal we received a complimentary drink, which one of the party accidently tip over onto the table cloth, it was immediately replaced without any fuss whatsoever. All in all a very good experience and as said a lovely start to a wonderful evening.

Great place to visit with family and friends. We went twice here on our last 3 night stay in Eastbourne. I love the pasta with tomoato sauce and King Prawns and my children love the pizza.

The family and I were looking for a place to eat after having been to Airborne and this restaurant was a cert choice.
We were seated quickly although the Italian waiter couldn't help making a jibe about us not booking but it was all good fun and after an exchange of humour between a few of the waiters we were menus in hand.
If I see a calzone on the menu I can't help but chose it and there's is a fine example. The pizza base was nice and thin, there was a generous filling of all the meats in the description and the tomato sauce on the side was delicious and brought the perfect amount of moisture to the dish. Also, we were presented with some chilli oil which had a nice mellow heat and complimented the dish well.
We also had desserts which were generous in size and the ice cream was divine.
Only one small hiccup, my mum order a glass of red wine to come with her meal as she didn't want to have any alcohol until she'd eaten something but this was forgotten and we had to ash a waiter to bring one over.
Overall, an excellent meal and would definitely recommend.

The service was excellent, the food was superb, the atmosphere was good.
This place offers excellent value for money - unbeatable!
The freshness and the taste of food was second to none.
Our dessert was a little slow arriving but this was soon sorted out!

Food was excellent, had pizza and pasta dishes both of which were faultless. Slightly "English" Italian but both superb. So why not 5 stars? With some empty tables at the front of the restaurant we get stuck at the back near the staircase adjacent to the kitchen... A little more customer care required but superb food.

This restaurant was recommended to us by the hotel we stayed in, as we had never been to Eastbourne before and didn't know the area.
A delightful setting, a warm welcome, excellent service, fabulous food and very reasonably priced. If you like Italian food, this is the place for you. Highly recommend it.

The pizzas look to be big and, going on the number of people ordering them, they must be good. Very reasonably priced restaurant. Nice and bright and buzzy. However, we ordered spaghetti Bolognese and lasagne respectively and they were plentiful, but the Bolognese wasn't as good as the mess I can rustle up at home and the lasagne was puddingy, dry and rather tasteless. We were very disappointed and shan't be going again. The following night we went to Rosetto - an Italian restaurant nearby (and closer to the theatres) which was first class and far, far superior foodwise. We shall certainly be visiting Rosetto again.

I have visited pomodoro e mozzarella before about 18 months ago, it was so good that we decided to go back again last night. The first time the food was excellent and it was out of season, so was quite quiet in there, with good service and above all the knowledge about gluten free food was fantastic. (Always a bonus when I can find a place that actually offers gluten free without asking) this time, however, I understand that the restaurant was busier but the service really was not up to scratch. Numerous times I would try and catch the waiter/waitress' eye to find they would ignore me or as I was asking them for a new fork/dessert/drink, before I had finished talking they were walking away. There were no apologies for how long the meals or drinks were taking and it was a real disappointment because their food was excellent. The relatives that had taken us there say they ate at the restaurant a few months previously and had received the same service, so were not encouraged to visit again after last night. Staff didn't seem rushed about anything either. Sorry to leave a negative review :(

We were just Italian students and we were looking for a good Italian place where to eat:the food was great and the taste really amazing! Everything was perfect from the staff passing trough all the wonderful atmosphere inside. We recommend Pomodoro and Mozzarella also for the really good prices and you can trust us..we're students so we really do not want to spend lots of money!

My husband and me went yesterday to this restaurant and I must say that the food was excellent! We ordered calzone pizza and spaguethi marinara and both of them were really nice! The restaurant is big but if you go, it is better calling them before in order to book a table. We will go again!

Have been going to this restaurant for over 10 years. It is good authentic Italian Cuisine with out being pretentious or "trying to be arty. Good menu, well priced and served by friendly people. We always eat here if we are in the area.

Turned up late in the evening with no reservation. The restaurant was really busy but they still found us a table immediately.
The service was quick and friendly and the menu choices were HUGE. Decided on pizza, which was delicious, followed by profiteroles and creme caramel. Had coffee and a few beers and it still only came to £40. A bargain!
Wish we lived closer!

Never had a bad meal here, due to popularity it does get busy but sign of a good restaurant. The staff are always friendly and polite. Good for a quick pizza or for a whole evening.
