... how is it even possible that some people in the South East never been at Meze ?
It's so good, that even after about 10 years, we keep coming back. The Turkish yoghurt drink , the choice of food , the waitresses keeping a watchful eye while you eating, it just goes on and on. And it was full, as usual. My only problem is the noise level which resulted from all tables being full, I guess sitting next to a hen party was just unfortunate.Proper flavours, proper portions, cooked in front our very eyes. And still reasonably priced. No fancy menu, no jus on anything... Go, try !

The food was incredible and the experience felt really genuine. The food is cooked in front of you by chefs who seem to know what they're doing and the menu is traditional. The atmosphere is friendly and warm and they provide a copious amount of food! You really get your money's worth!

Traditional turkish food. Very nice place, welcoming and yummy food. Highly recommend it. We had mixed meze starter and shared a grilled seabas between two people. This was perfect dinner for two.

Me and my wife went there on a Thursday night, when we came to the front of it we had second thoughts about going as the place was very quiet. Luckily we saw a small group already in the restaurant through the window which convinced my wife to go in. So glad that we did. The service was impeccable, food was brilliant. The food is cooked in an open kitchen therefore you can see how its done and it give a special feel. Definitely will recommend to others.

Visiting Eastbourne & had an excellent meal at this small & welcoming family restaurant. I strongly recommend it.

Have been coming with the family here for years. We always order the meze starter and main and have never been disappointed. The food is always delicious, well presented and the service is good. Definitely recommend people to come here.

Came here on Monday for a birthday meal. Carlos whose adorable and such a humble kind man prepared the cushioned area for our arrival and greeted us with his usual friendly warm way.
Our meal was Devine. The lamb cube kebab was succulent filling and delicious. The grilled sea bream beautifully cooked and the white Rioja perfectly chilled. The apple tea finished off the meal succinctly. I love the feel of this place and the decor and lighting make this a place conducive for an intimate relaxing area for groups couples or any dynamic.

This restaurant was so good! I researched it prior to going and saw good reviews so thought we'd give it a go and I was not disappointed at all!!
After ordering we were given a mini turkish pizza each (complimentary) and this tasted amazing. When ordering I asked for chips and was told they didn't do them which I was completely fine with and even gave me the impression they took pride in their food and didn't want to cater for the masses. Immediately I was impressed.
Before starters turned up, we were then given yogurt/olives/bread, again complimentary.
For starters we ordered halloumi, Sigara Boregi (feta & parsley pastries) and dolma. For mains I ordered the Adana kebab (lamb kofta) and my partner ordered the Karisik Kebab (mixed grill). We didn't have to wait long for either course, and the food was to such an amazing quality. The service was excellent. I honestly couldn't complain about a thing. If I was in Eastbourne again I would definitely go back and fully recommend to others.

Though it's been going for a few decades, the formula works.
The food is cooked on an open kitchen and is authentic.
We were three and shared a Meze with filo pastry cheese 'straws' and halloumi washed down with a Turkish Rose. Total cost £47 which is good value.

I have visited this restaurant many times with a variety of family and friends and haven't been disappointed yet. The food and the ambience is fabulous. The flatbread and accompaniments come automatically as does a tiny lamb pizza.
I rarely order a main course as I love lots of small amount to dip into, drink wine and chat. This is the place to do that and if you are vegetarian there is lots to choose from the Mezeler( starters/light dishes) plus a couple of vegie mains. Tomorrow I have friends visiting from Japan and this will be one of the 2 restaurants in Eastbourne that I plan to visit with them.

the atmosphere & house red wine were good. I really liked the flatbread but unfortunately when we asked for more bread we got a bread similar to focaccia - it was nice but heavy (hopefully next time we can ask for just the flat bread). The lamb kebab was good, but the accompaniments a bit bland - still will go again.

Fresh Turkish food with the grilling area in the restaurant, so you can see the chef cook. The mixed meze is the best starter and good value at £6.50. The main courses are good but expensive at around £14. The whole meal is about 2x the price of the excellent Turkish restaurant, down the road in Brighton, called Turkish Villas.

We found this place whilst looking for a vegetarian restaurant to take friends.. we have a table booked, but dropped in on a whim for lunch whilst in town... Eastbourne has many varied, (and good) restaurants and cafes, but if you fancy something different, exceptionally tasty and authentic, then this is the place to seek out. Between four of us we ordered a selection of the many meze dishes. All were delicious, perfectly proportioned and presented simply and attractively. Accompanied by Efe beers we had a lovely lunch. The staff were friendly, welcoming and added to the experience.
Really looking forward to our dinner reservation now!

This restaurant is nice and the food is fresh but the prices are more London then Eastbourne. Far far too expensive for this area, but the food is good as you would expect for that money.

Declaring our inexperience with authentic Turkish cuisine, we threw ourselves on the mercy of our friendly waitress. She did not disappoint. From wonderful breads and Meze, to crisp, aromatic salads, to succulent, marinated chicken and lamb, (all served with that seductive hint of charcoal). The evening was an absolute delight.

What a place, i should go here more often but with the options in Eastbourne i keep forgetting. However the food is fantastic and its great to see the chef prepare it in front of you. Very reasonable on the pricing.

Very good Turkish food just slightly over priced is the main reason for giving the rating. Friendly staff. Easy to find location but very hard to find anywhere nearby to park a car.

I have been to this restaurant many times and visited again with friends on Saturday 28th May. As soon as you step through the door and greeted by Carlos the owner you get exceptional friendly service and fantastic food. There is a very comprehensive menu with lots of delicious starters and main courses. All the starters are delicious and very well presented and the main courses are cooked to order and perfection on a flame grill which is inside the restaurant. Brilliant service during the meal and all staff are friendly and helpful. If you would like to try Turkish food at its best , this is the place to visit in Eastbourne. It may not be the cheapest
place to eat but worth the extra for superb food and service.

I dined here before about six years ago and I wasn't impressed. I'm sorry to say that nothing has changed! The starters, although tasty, were very stingy portions. We ordered a mixed meze starter for three at a total of £18. It certainly wasn't worth it. The same meal for one at the Nazar in Hastings costing £8 would have been the same amount as we paid for three. My lamb main course was tasteless and again not worth the money.

My friend robs dad was Persian introduced us to this place.
The food is cooked in front of you and has a great charcoal grill taste and it tastes clean and healthy. It's like going to the kebab shop but 10000 percent better.
I love bulgar wheat yogurt and those huge grilled chillis
I went to Milas in turkey last year, looking for better Turkish cuisine It was not a patch
