We hadn't booked but fancied a different dinner than at a pub. We were welcomed, explained to and given lots of free tastes of hot,fresh pitta bread dips and olives.
The food was delicious and the atmosphere interesting because of the open kitchen where you could see the coal fire cooking your food. Loved the food, the service and the people. Thank you

We tried here, whilst on a 3-day stay at The View hotel between Xmas and New Year, based on the great Tripadvisor reviews it had received.....and we were not disappointed. It is a small, authentic Turkish restaurant with great food, friendly staff (think they may all be family) and great atmosphere. We went on the 29th December and every other restaurant we walked passed was virtually empty....however, this one was full....I'm glad we booked in advance as they were turning people away. It may be a tad on the pricey side, but it is well worth it. I would definitely go back.

Such a gem to find! Full on flavour on every dish we had, excellent quality. Visited with two of my adult sons who were equally delighted...and very full!. We were immediately greeted and served nibbles with a generous offering of freshly cooked and warm bread and our order was taken when we were ready. We shared 4 Meze between us - gorgeous. We had arrived after lunchtime so the restaurant was empty, however, the atmosphere was perfect for us. Turkish music in the background and a warm glow from the open kitchen, where we could see the burning coals while we could see a tempest raging outside. The patron was very accommodating, quite happy to wait for main course order until we had luxuriated over the Meze, catching up and sharing a few laughs. So relaxed there, but in a good way! Very welcoming and attentive but in no way intrusive - top marks for all the staff. I enjoyed watching the chefs cook our main courses which came accompanied with bulgar wheat and yogurt for me and additional sides on the ample plates of my sons meat choices. I had the sizzling prawns - yum, and more than enough after such a big starter for me.
So good to find a top rate restaurant here, which is comfortable but not at all fussy. As one of my sons and I are local, we will be back soon

never been here before, was away for a few nights, read reviews thought I would give it a try, the staff could not have been more helpful, we shared a meze and it was amazing, struggled to eat all, loads of meat and excellent staff accommodating our request for humous to be included. See the staff cooking, great ambience. Keep up the great work.

I am amazed that this fantastic family restaurant is not in TA top five for Eastbourne.

The cheese, humous, bulger wheat, everything fresh and homemade. The meat grilled on charcoal in front of us having previously been in a lovely marinade.
On top of the fabulous food was the warmth of the welcome from the owner and his family who cook and serve. They could not do enough for us.
A definite regular from now on!

The welcome was warm and friendly and the manager/owner was very helpful as I am new to Turkish cooking. My meal was cooked on the char grill in front of my eyes as the chef displayed his knife skills preparing an onion and pepper salad. Some lovely cheeses and olives were served as an appetizer with a puffed up bread (I didn't catch its name) and the evening was concluded with my first taste of Turkish coffee. I found the price very good value for all the food and excellent service.

We ate at 5:30pm and there was one other booking. Friendly, prompt service. Delicious food and plenty of it. Quite pricey, though. Still, it was worth it.

With a charcoal pit which they freshly cook your kebabs over, the meze starters were lovely and just kept coming. Aromatic flavours, good service. Great Birthday meal, lot of Turkish customers so you know it's good. Felt like I was on holiday. Definitely go again. 5 stars!!!

Was a birthday surprise for my father in law to be and couldn't ask for a better place to spend the evening, if you like Turkish food this is the place to go, cracking night, cracking food, awesome flavours, well worth a visit, definitely go back!!!!
