Been there on my trip to Eastbourne - the food is very tasty and authentic Kerala food. Their service is very nice and the ambience is perfect for a dinner.<br><br>I had vegetarian Kadala Curry with Kerala Chapathi, which is very very tasty.

Great food and great service. Plenty of choice for veggies. Many dishes are traditional south Indian food which are hard to find in most Indian restaurants.

My partner and I went to Malayalam last week, having recently moved to Eastbourne. We were expecting good things based on the reviews, but were quite disappointed. Not only was there a long delay for our food (we were waiting approx. 30 mins for it to arrive), it wasn't very flavourful when it did. We were ordering exclusively vegan dishes, so I don't know if that was the issue - the meat dishes that neighbouring customers were eating smelled a lot more rich and flavoursome. I liked the rice breads, and the carrot and green bean thoran was quite nice, but nothing else was up to par. Everything could have done with more heat or spices.<br><br>Update: I've been back several times since to Malayalam, and my first experience was a one-off - every other time it's been very decent! I could do without the constantly playing TV screen that loops, but the food is very nice.

A world away from traditional Indian restaurants. An unusual but delicious and surprising menu. Everything is homemade including the poppadoms.<br>Clearly a family business who take great pride in what they do.<br>Highly recommended.

Absolutely delicious vegan lunch special for under £10.00. I really enjoyed all the different flavours and colours too. Very good service and a clean and comfortable environment. Can't wait to go back!

Very friendly waiters, they explain the menu and make great suggestions. Quick service for starters, mains and desserts.<br><br>There are spicy options and mild options. The chicken and lamb is very high quality meat, best in Eastbourne I've tried so far. The herbs and spices were so tasty and not too much.

The fish soup was perfect on a cold night. The beef curry and paratha was very tasty as well. Perhaps next time I will explore the vegetarian options.

What a lovely place. Food is super authentic delicious Keralan cuisine, with something to suit all palates. Staff are all so friendly and helpful with recommendations and my dietary requirements. Decor has cute Keralan touches. A real treat for our anniversary!!

Never have I rushed to give a place a raving review! I was visiting from London and just happened to chance upon this restaurant and boy would they give all the "popular" indian restaurants in London a run for their money. The food is truly breathtakingly delicious. And I love the variety (Team Long Menus!). The service is very friendly. It is very authentic Kerala cuisine and stays true to its name. Wish I lived here i would visit again and again.
