Coming from India, had authentic South Indian dosa after a long time.<br><br>Amazing food and good service. Place is too busy as too many customers and yet the staff was quick to serve. Very friendly staff.

I was so pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food here. The menu had a wide variety for all but it's has by far the best vegan options I have seen for a non vegan restaurant. It really felt like it was the first time I had eaten out at a truly authentic Indian restaurant. Our waiter Stanly was very pleasant and answered any questions we had. We will certainly be back to visit.

2nd time I was here was here last year and the food is only got better I can't fault anything and anyone the food was stunning full of flavour cooked perfectly my mother in law is not normally a fan but she loved every mouth full will come here every time I visit Eastbourne love it

First time for us eating Southern Indian cuisine.
The staff were so helpful and spent the time to help us choose our meal.The food was full of flavour and we had a meal we would put up there with some of the best we've eaten.
I highly recommend Malayalam and would return there anytime.

I've wanted to find a good Indian in Eastbourne for years, so was thrilled to discover Mayalalam. Lovely restaurant with great service, and very tasty and different food. Particularly recommend the starters.

This is a great place to eat. The food is amazing and the staff are lovely. We have eaten in a few places during our week in Eastbourne and this is the best. I would thoroughly recommend a visit.

A real gem of a place, fabulous South Indian restaurant with a great menu. I had the specials which were spectacular and the other 3 of us chose from the main menu. Which was also great. Staff were so helpful and would hghly recommend.

I pretty much said it in the title.....nothing at all fancy, no great wine list.....but very nice simple food, intelligently spiced, and great value for money. And very good service. We went twice over two successive weekends, and a lot of the reason for the return visit was the service we received both times from a personable and professional young man named Stanley. He was very helpful describing dishes (spice levels were a concern for one of our party) and making sure we had enough food (we had a time issue so needed to order enough in one go). All good!
One piece of advice for the owner and staff....the second trip we sat outside.....and it was pretty filthy. Clean it up!!!!

Welcoming staff and amazing food. First time my partner had sampled South Indian food and is now keen for more after sampling Masala dosa and delicious fish curry with lemon rice. We dined here prior to going to a show and the staff made sure we had plenty of time. Attentive, friendly service throughout. Looking forward to returning as soon as possible! Highly recommend.

Popped in for lunch, ordered the set menu with the Dosa. Excellent meal, fresh and tasty. I would recommend this meal to anyone. Outdoor seating at the front of the restaurant with the sun out is wonderful.

Wonderful food as always.. completely different from an ordinary Indian restaurant...the waiter Swanly was charming and explained the menu...and he was very happy and cheerful..and inquired if we were pleased with our food...We will definitely be returning

I went with my family to Malayalam and the food was fantastic and transported us to places we had never been to! The lamb biriyani cooked in a banana leaf was incredible and it was a wonderful evening!
