We went as part of a coach tour but the hotel was better than they often are on these trips. Right on the seafront, we paid a bit extra for a sea view room, which was quite spacious and well appointed. The food was very good, three choices each evening for each course, not required to choose in advance. Breakfast was similarly good, plenty of choice. Very friendly and helpful waiting and reception staff. Entertainment in the bar in the evenings, which was very good. I would recommend this hotel if you are in Eastbourne, Not too far from the pier and shops, and lovely esplanade walks in both directions.

Despite the above I still had a very enjoyable stay and would like to thank all the staff for their great customer servi Location - seafront and easy walk to pier and town centre. The staff - particularly the reception team were exceptionally helpful, welcoming and friendly. My single room was very dated and although I was getting a very good deal for my week’s stay the rooms location was awful- had a back view with a dirty window and was next door to the exit for stairs to reception.

Superb All of the staff were absolutely wonderful - super friendly and helpful. The went out of their way to cater for our food allergies, and they were all very kind and helpful to my elderly mother - especially helping her to phone us on multiple occasions. Thank you so much for making us all feel so welcome.

Hotel is in a great position with only a road between it and the sea.Parking in the road outside is by permit which you can buy at reception for £2 per day.If you have a blue badge parking is free.Free parking is also available in lots of side streets but in high season could be tricky.
To get into the hotel you have to climb 5 very steep steps so if you have mobility problems this is not the hotel for you. There are also steps inside to get to the dining room. There are two very small lifts which can help you miss out some of the stairs but not all.

The staff on reception were all very polite and knowledgable. We were a bit disappointed that there were no leaflets telling you where to go or what to do but the local tourist board are perhaps not up to speed after the winter.
It is a very old building and upstairs is like a warren of one person wide corridors.
As we were paying a very competitive price for our four day stay we had no great expectations for our room which was just as well. The bedroom was very small just large enough for a double bed single wardrobe and a dressing table with one chair. The bathroom also was very small with a tiny shower based on a high plinth which made it impossible for anyone not fully mobile to get into.
However the bed was very comfortable and the bedding was clean and fresh. We were given plenty of clean towels and the tea, coffee etc were refilled daily.
Renovations were ongoing whilst we were there so maybe our room was still to be done.

The dining room staff were amazing ,efficient polite and speedy.Breakfast was the usual hotel fare with plentiful tea and coffee and hot food served to the table.
The evening meal had four choices for each course definitely not cordon blue but perfectly edible. There was no opportunity to buy wine in the dining room but always a jug of water on the table and as much tea and coffee as you want.

We would definitely stay here again but would ask about a room upgrade.

The staff were amazing. How they remain positive when they must get complaints all the time was incredible. Couldn’t find fault with any of them but a special mention for Josh, he was very patient!
Room looked to have been recently refurbished but they’d forgotten the windows and ceiling, was pretty clean and beds were really comfy.
Family members had a similar problem with the toilet to the one mentioned previously but this was reported Sunday evening and maintenance were there by 8.30 the next day.
Food - don’t get me started! Breakfast was fine, decent selection, don’t like tea or coffee made ages before and kept warm but that’s me being fussy. Dinner was included in our package and was abysmal, best bit was the fruit salad but is it possible not to cut up fruit well? If they improved that I’d stay again or perhaps stay but eat out.

Welcoming hotel, good staff and value for money Helpful staff. friendly staff. Clean rooms good choice of food. Good selection of bar drinks, entertainment was good although they were all singers. small thing, but I’d prefer not to be called, my love, lovely, darling, sweetie by the staff. I’m not sure if they think it’s being friendly but it doesn’t seem wholly appropriate,I’d prefer to be called Madam or ask my name. it felt a bit patronising. I think the resultant staff would look smarter in black shirts than in polo shirts looks a bit too casual?

I’ve had the pleasure of staying at the Majestic Hotel for five nights with a coach party and I have to say the staff are exceptional, nothing is to much trouble to them. The food Is excellent with plenty of choices and cleanliness is second to none.
I have no problem with recommending the Majestic Hotel as a very nice place to stay.

I went to the hotel to celebrate my 20th birthday with my mom and sister. The experience at the hotel was so lovely! Thanks to the staff for making it super great :)) special mention to the receptionist Liam who kindly assisted me finding taxis and going to Birling gap. Also the breakfast was so nice to start the day. The staff at Breakfast was super lovely and attentive to my family :)) special mention to Andrea, Ricardo and Kathy!

I recommend this hotel as its perfect for the price, is well connected and the staff is super lovely :))
