I'm based in Brighton. Lightning Fibre are based in nearby Eastbourne and promised decent full-fibre optic connection with good speeds, no in-contract price rises and a dedicated UK-based customer service. Most importantly, the packages are priced at affordable rates without having to sacrifice speeds. Lauren from Lightning Fibre's customer service was very polite and helpful. The installation was arranged without any hassle. Jamie from City Fibre arrived and explained the process very clearly. He was respectful of my flat and very polite. I've now had the connection for over two weeks and I've been regularly running speed tests. I average around the 900Mbps mark for upload and download. The ping rate has been as low as 3.8ms to as much as 6ms. I strongly recommend people use a wired ethernet connection for best possible speeds. I've got one of the latest iPhones and my partner has a new Samsung. Neither of them can reach 800Mbps over Wi-Fi. That's normal and to be expected because of the Wi-Fi 6 standard so don't fret if you don't get the max speeds over wireless. The wireless router that gets provided is very good too. I would like to come back to this review in several months/a year's time to update how it's been since, but in these last two weeks, I have to say it's been amazing. I would encourage more people to leave the "more established" ISPs and their silly in-contract price rises for an ISP like Lightning Fibre. In my home, we use streaming services and gaming, which has GBs of updates. I also work from home so this has been perfect for me. Thanks Lightning Fibre!

Just had my installation of lightin fibre carried out on Monday 20th extremely happy with the speed that I am getting. Further to this the engineer I believe was called Leon was extremely helpful and polite, professional and a great face of the company! I would recommend the services to friends and family.

Simple and straight forward switch from our existing broadband provider. We kept our original phone number and Lightening Fibre kept us fully informed and dealt with our old provider. Although there was a 14-day delay in the landline transfer, we knew this at the outset.

Internet is fast as always and have no issues with being connected. The engineer on the other hand has limited experience and has forgotten that masonary bits do not drill through metal, and so has ignorantly given half the neighbours a headache by rattling the entire building.

Overall satisfactory set-up. Delay caused by check not being carried out on supply pole resulting in 48 hour delay in going live. Since rectification, carried out quickly, service and speed has been excellent. Glad I changed from taltalk who priced themselves out of the market with continuous price rises.

From my initial contact with Lightning Fibre everything has gone very smoothly. Everyone I have dealt with have responded very promptly. The installation was completed very quickly and efficiently. The broadband speed matches what I had already had but much better is the fact that I've had no drop out of service which I had regularly with my previous provider.
