The best hotel at the immediate beach front. A little stuck in the eighties, but that's expected in the UK outside London. Good rooms, breakfast, dining and staff. Wi-Fi is spotty at times.
Service at the bar can be quite slow depending on how many people are in the restaurant and in the bar area. Definitely could use some more staff on packed days.

Generally very good, but have to say the quality of WiFi is really poor

The hotel was clean and nicely decorated with all services working well. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was small but adequate. Restaurant food generally good with fair prices. Bar prices a little high for some drinks. Parking was a problem and expensive to use their parking service. It was a nice sunny weekend which really did help the overall experience.

Not the largest of rooms considering it was called a Superior Double Room and the bathroom not on the large size. However very comfortable and with sea view as requested.
Breakfasts were very good especially with at times a table in the conservatory overlooking the sea.
Staff in all very good and helpful.
Would possibly stay again but in a suite if possible.

My husband and I decided to have a night in Eastbourne meeting up with my son and his girlfriend. We couldn’t stay in the same hotel as it was fully booked so we chose The Langham. Lovely, albeit small, sea view room which looked like it had been recently refurbished. Excellent shower and an extremely comfortable bed. Breakfast was very good with all covid precautions in force. Excellent friendly service throughout our stay.

We stay here a few times a year and its our first stay since lockdown. Wow its even more amazing than ever, very good social distancing measures in place, the hotel is spotlessly clean as always, hand sanitiser everywhere. The staff are just the best, every single one you come into contact with is pleasant ,polite and so professional. The food is lovely, good quality ingredients and presented and served beautifully. This has to be the best hotel in Eastbourne cant wait for our next stay.

We stayed in a superior room with a sea view. A very well kept and clean hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a varied and tasty choice for breakfast. We plan to stay here again on our next visit to Eastbourne.

Booked in for a two night stay. From arriving to leaving the hotel staff were attentive and very Civid safe. We had a lovely sea view, spacious and comfortable room.
We ate in on the first night in the restaurant and both had very good meals, the quality of which exceeded our expectations. Being able to sit outside overlooking the sea, having a drink was very relaxing. This was our first visit to Eastbourne and having the promenade and beach so close is a definite plus, therefore we would definitely recommend the hotel and location.

Stayed at the Langham for 2 nights as had a meeting organised in Brighton.
The hotel are superb in the way they are ensuring they are Covid safe, hand sanitizer everywhere, one way system in place, limeted use of lift, social distancing guidelines etc. ...... majority of guests adhered to the rules, some just could not be bothered. Absolutely no fault of the hotel, all staff work incredibly hard and efficiently to ensure you enjoy your stay.
I had a single, sea view room, although tiny, perfectly adequate and met my needs in full.
Hotel is spotlessly clean throughout and high standards are set. This also applies to the restaurant, enjoyed my piping hot breakfast on both days. I had a bar meal on my first night, very well presented and steak cooked accordingly to my request . 2nd evening was my birthday so booked in at the restaurant, really is well worth it, I had 2 courses, big portions so felt a little full after my starter and the lovely warm bread rolls. I did manage to eat my main and very tasty it was too!
Spent my birthday on Sunday walking the beachfront, really nice, quiet area to watch the world go by. I did not go past the pier area as had been told it can get busy up there as nearer the shops and I just would not have felt safe. Also totally enjoyed a scone with cream and jam on the front of the hotel. Oh and a lovely refreshing cold beer, again watching the world go by.
There are a few parking spaces at the hotel but unfortunately all were booked when I enquired. You can park on a side street for free but after a long journey, last thing I want to do is cruise the streets for somewhere to park. Took the option of using the subsidised parking about 5 mins away from the hotel, really is worth it at £8 per night. Totally secure and a manger has to meet you at the carpark to allow you in and out.
I would definitely recommend the Langham to all those needing s break in a warm and friendly environment where the staff work hard to ensure your stay is as good as it can be in these challenging times we are all faced with!

We have just returned from the hotel having had a lovely break away. You cannot fault anything there, Food, Rooms and staff are all excellent and you felt really safe there. We had room 106 which has a big bay window overlooking the beach and sea. The food in both the bar and restaurant are very good and you get good value for money.

We stayed for a week in September in room 309. Unfortunately, when we booked all sea view rooms had been taken. The room was lovely and quiet , the beds are so comfortable. On the first night we booked in the restaurant and had a three course meal, the food was excellent. There is a great choice of food for breakfast and most mornings I had the smoked salmon and scrambled egg, beautiful. The staff were so pleasant and accommodating. We had a few bar snacks/ meals which are great sat out on the terrace over-looking the sea. The hotel is so clean and welcoming. We went to Hastings and Bexhill on Sea on the buses, the bus stops are outside the hotel. The buses also take you into the centre of Eastbourne for the shops, restaurants and railway station. We will definitely go back to this hotel in the future.

The staff were very professional and extremely welcoming. We had a lovely lunch outside on the terrace with wonderful sea views. Our room was spotlessly clean, had everything we needed although it was a bit small. Nice touches, robes, slippers, tea tray, water & nice toiletries. The evening meal was exceptional, beautifully cooked and well presented. Great choice and catered well for vegetarians. The breakfast was equally delicious and plentiful. We sat in the conservatory so had a beautiful sea view. Lovely stay and a big thank you to the very hard working staff.

So organised with Covid regulations. Brilliant one way system, shame not everyone follows it !
Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms are comfortable and nicely decorated.
Good choices for breakfast.
It was about a 10 minute walk to restaurants and bars. Would stay here again if in Eastbourne.
Parking off site for £8 which you have to arrange in reception.

Hotel is on the seafront and our suite was very spacious and overlooked the sea, such a lovely sight to wake up to! Worth spending the extra to get that view!
Even though it is a big hotel, the room was very quiet and we all slept well. Staff were very friendly in the hotel and breakfast was served in a spacious room making it easy to socially distance.
Perfect stay with a short 10 minute walk to the town centre for all restaurants and so close to the beach.
Parking is free on back streets of hotel.

The superior seaview room was well worth paying a little extra. It was large, airy with a very comfortable bed, and had a lovely view - although could only really be enjoyed from the bed as the two arm chairs were positioned looking at the small TV and a wall. Pushing them over towards the window didn't help much as from that angle the most prominent feature was the anti-seagull spikes on the "faux balcony" wall, which gave the room a slight feeling of Kolditz. I know seagulls are a nuisance but the spikes are not pretty. The bathroom was very small with the wash basin so close to the toilet it made using the latter a bit awkward, and the pressure in the shower was not good. Breakfast at the hotel was excellent and we enjoyed a bar snack of moules and chips on the terrace overlooking the sea on the first evening - just like being abroad! I would not recommend using the off-site parking - our car was covered in seagull droppings after two days, and it is ending up costing us quite a bit of money to get the marks out of the paintwork. And the final niggle is that check out from the hotel is at 10.30am - a bit early for a holiday hotel, particularly since breakfast is served until 10. Having said all the above, which really are just details, we very much enjoyed out mini-break at the Langham Hotel and would happily go back some time in the future - but would certainly find somewhere else to park the car.

Stayed last weekend with adult family and couldn’t fault the hotel and it’s services. Had dinner in house both nights as it was so good. Breakfast was served flawlessly with attention to everything. Room was lovely with a perfect sea view. Really relaxed break and will rebook. Possibly the best hotel we’ve stayed at in Eastbourne for all the above reasons.

You only have to read the other reviews to know how special The Langham is, so I will just tell you we stayed from Monday too Friday, we had an inland room and it was lovely, I don't need to tell you about the food, the staff, actually I will, they were amazing, so whats left for me for you all? the towels! I have stayed in many hotels over the years but the towels in The Langham are wonderful, big white and fluffy. With all this Covid madness going on The Langham still made your stay with them exceptional. Would I return to The Langham.......in a heartbeat :) Oooooh just to let you know there are a lot of internal stairs on each floor. I know that sounds odd but this is an old hotel and that was how it was built in 18something lol. DO NOT discount The Langham but ring them to find out options available for those loss able.

We stayed for just a quick weekend to visit family post lockdown but we were no impressed with this beautiful Art Deco family run hotel - recently refurbished to a very high standard the rooms are very comfortable- the staff were all so friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble and we felt so safe and cared for with the Covid measures in place.
The menu was tremendous and the meals were delicious- I guess you can tell we loved the place and even though it is a six hour drive to get there we will be back- maybe for a proper holiday next time !
